Youmio Showcases Upcoming 3D AI Agent Launchpad

Youmio, previously known as social sim Today before it rebranded this January 2025, has officially showcased its in-development 3D AI agent launchpad in a new trailer. Here’s what this trailer reveals about the upcoming platform that will help bring the team’s AI-powered dynamic worlds to life.

What Is Youmio Agents?

Youmio Agents is an upcoming agentic platform that will allow anyone to create on-chain 3D AI agents that will be able to live in immersive Youmio Worlds but also outside of them as well. Users will be able to customize their 3D agents in various ways. You will be able to change the personality of your AI agent, add in unique traits, and adjust agentic capabilities to form a unique 3D character that lives inside digital worlds but also outside in the real online world, doing their own thing.

Users will be able to monetize and tokenize AI agents as players, workers, entertainers, and even influencers. By building this agentic launchpad, the team aims to deliver “the new frontier of creativity, play and entertainment” in which 3D agents are created by the community, who can expect to enjoy real-time interaction, emergent storytelling, and endless gameplay opportunities from these AI-powered characters.

What Does the Youmio Agents Trailer Showcase?

Following the rebrand, a new trailer for Youmio Agents was released to showcase to the community what this upcoming launchpad brings to the growing world of AI agents.

The trailer shows us loads of exciting features for us to look forward to. It takes us through the AI agent creation process, and then reveals what it’s like to further interact with the created 3D AI agent in real time. Initially, we get to see the main launchpad page, from which you can discover the top agents by market cap, view the agent leaderboard, check out agents you’re following, and uncover new ones through an Agent Spotlight feature that seems to recommend AI agents based on your preferences.

From the main platform’s page, users will be able to head to the Agent Creator to start setting up their very own AI-powered agent in 3D. This system gives you loads of customization options not just for the agent’s appearance, but also for its “brain” as well. It looks like there will be an option to have the system randomly generate an agent too. If you’re creating one on your own, you will get to choose the agent’s name, write a description (which can be randomized), determine its personality, agentic capabilities, and visual appearance through an in-depth character creator screen.

When adjusting the agent’s personality, users will be able to move 5 different sliders: openness, consciousness, agreeableness, extraversion, and neuroticism. After this, you can add in the agent’s capabilities. The trailer gives us a glimpse at a wide range of different customizable capabilities representing different roles or professions that users can add to their 3D agents. Some of the available agent capabilities users can choose seem to include streamer, trader, KOL, conductor agent, online gamer, and more. This means that users can create AI agents that can livestream content, play competitive games, execute on-chain strategies and trades, and more.

After determining the features your AI agent should have, you can then move on to creating its 3D character model using loads of customization options to truly create an agent that looks just how you want it. You will be able to change its pose, customize its body, and use numerous sliders to adjust eyes, ears, mouth, jaw, and nose, while choosing from an array of different clothing and accessories to equip your agent with before finally publishing the agent.

As a launchpad, users will be able to put their agent live on the platform for anyone to trade with, just like on platforms such as Base-powered Virtuals and Solana-based Holoworld. It looks like each agent will have to “bond” before becoming possible to interact with. This bonding process may or may not depend on the agent’s price, based on what the trailer shows. Once the bonding process is complete, you can start chatting with your new 3D AI agent. The agent will converse using voice and text chat, and you will be able to do the same as well. There will be an option to enter Youmio Worlds together with the AI agent, so that you can fully see your new AI-powered character in 3D.

In the 3D worlds of this platform’s metaverse, you will be able to continue chatting with your AI agent while it does its own thing. Your AI agent will be able to take selfies to share online, and it looks like it will even be able to converse with other AI agents, allowing the community to vote on which agent it should chat with. Essentially, these 3D AI agents will be able to go out and do their own thing, regardless of whether you’re present with them or not. They may however make requests to you, such as asking for new sneakers to equip them with. You might also look forward to seeing them customize 3D worlds as well to their liking, with comments made along the way to show their reactions to the changes you or the agent make to a dynamic digital world.

Overall, Youmio Agents looks very promising for anyone interested in creating on-chain, cross-platform 3D AI agents. The launchpad seems packed with features that allow you to personalize your agent both visually and utility-wise, enabling creators and players to dive into developing new and innovative AI-powered blockchain gaming experiences.

A launch date for this AI agent-focused launchpad does not seem to be available at the time of writing, but we can likely expect to see an initial version of it go live at some point in 2025.
