GR1D Completes Node License Airdrop, Sets Stage for Pre-TGE Activation

GR1D has officially completed its highly anticipated node license airdrop, marking a major milestone for the decentralized compute project as it moves toward its testnet activation phase. Node licenses were distributed to participating wallets via the Arbitrum Sepolia testnet, with full guides released to help users verify delivery, prepare their wallets, and understand what’s coming next.

For early participants in GR1D’s node sale, this moment is the culmination of months of anticipation and the beginning of an active role in the protocol’s infrastructure layer.

License Delivery Confirmed, Viewable on Arbitrum Sepolia

The node licenses were airdropped as non-transferable NFTs on Arbitrum Sepolia, a testnet version of Arbitrum’s Layer 2. To confirm receipt, users are instructed to add the Sepolia testnet to their wallet, preferably through Revoke.cash for a simple, browser-compatible flow, and then search their ETH address on the Arbitrum Sepolia NFT explorer.

Each NFT confirms the holder's eligibility to operate a node within the GR1D network. For users who do not see their expected license, GR1D has directed all support inquiries to its official Discord, where team members will assist through ticket-based channels. Users are advised to avoid unsolicited Telegram messages, as scams remain an ongoing risk across web3.

What Should You Do Now?

If your node license has landed in your wallet, there’s no action needed just yet, but it’s the perfect time to get set up. To follow the exact steps to connect to Arbitrum Sepolia, confirm your license, and prepare for node activation, visit GR1D’s official tweet thread.

While the licenses are now in the hands of node operators, GR1D made it clear that node activation has not yet begun. The airdrop represents infrastructure readiness, while the operational phase, pre-TGE node uptime, will be announced separately.

Once activated, node operators will begin generating xGRID, a soulbound reward token earned during the testnet phase. These rewards will later convert into mainnet $GRID tokens, creating a clear incentive for early participation. Importantly, 25% of node rewards will unlock near TGE (token generation event), but the full percentage depends on how much uptime each node logs between activation and TGE.

For example, a node that remains live from day one of the pre-TGE phase to TGE will unlock the full 25% early. Nodes with intermittent or late uptime will unlock less initially, but all operators are still eligible to earn the remaining rewards over 24 months.

Self-Hosted, Delegated, and Easeflow Nodes All Included

When node activation does begin, operators will have the flexibility to either self-host their nodes, delegate them to services like EaseflowHQ, or run them through device partners like DeEEPNetwork. 

The node license NFTs will remain non-transferable for several months, ensuring that only genuine participants in the testnet program are eligible for early-stage rewards and performance-based benefits.

April 30 Airdrop for Late Buyers

GR1D’s node sale portal remains open until April 30, and anyone purchasing additional licenses before then will receive their supplemental node airdrop on that date. However, there are no further steps needed right now for those who have already received their licenses.
