Play to Earn in ONE Fight Arena on Sui

Animoca Brands and Prague-based game development studio Notre Game have officially launched a new web3 mobile game, ONE Fight Arena, on the Sui network. Here’s how this new blockchain title works and how you can play to earn $SUI tokens, real-world rewards, and more!

What Is ONE Fight Arena?

ONE Fight Arena is a free to play MMA-themed Match 3 combat game in which players train various Athletes and play competitive matches to become the ultimate champion and earn various rewards along the way. It’s built by Animoca Brands subsidiary Notre Game together in partnership with ONE Championship, Asia’s largest sports media property that initially started off by covering only mixed martial arts (MMA), before further expanding into more combat sports such as kickboxing, Muay Thai, and submission wrestling. This means that this is an official ONE Championship web3 mobile game!

As this is an officially licensed mobile game, this also means that players can enjoy Match 3 combat gameplay as one of 20+ real ONE Championship Athletes that are rendered as 3D characters fighting it out in various different arenas. Build the best gym around and choose your favorite fighters as you jump into unique Match 3 PvP gameplay that shakes up the usual formula of matching at least 3 tiles to increase your score by instead having a variety of distinct tiles that deal damage to the opponent or help you in other ways as well. Every round of a PvP match allows you to match up to 3 times. There are tiles representing certain types of attacks alongside shields, energy tiles, and KO tiles that increase your KO chances by a certain percentage. Each round lasts 22 seconds, so make sure to make your tactical moves quickly but wisely. Once you’ve matched up to 3 times for the round, you can choose whether you want to store up the KO you’ve collected or use it up right away to potentially win the match. This also means that at the end of each round, you will be given options to block one of the opposing attacks as well, and the chances of blocking them can vary depending on the type of attacks and the amount of shield tiles you’ve picked up to increase your block stat. Blocks can also be stored for use in later rounds. Energy tiles are needed for activating certain abilities that improve the tiled grid in your favor.

If the opponent’s HP is low enough, they will enter a vulnerable state, turning your regular attacks into KO attacks while increasing the power of KO tiles. As you play, you will also get to see all these moves nicely animated in 3D action after every round, making this a casual and fun web3-powered game for all MMA and combat sports fans to easily get into!

Over time, you get to level up and upgrade your Athlete’s stats such as arm attack and defense through an RPG-style progression system while customizing your fighter with a number of different clothing. You’ll want to strengthen your Athlete as much as you can if you want to take on the top spots in competitive matches found in tiered leagues and tournaments. Players can earn a variety of unique rewards every season, including exclusive Athletes, abilities, avatars, clothing, and more. Win matches to earn Trophies in order to unlock free and premium rewards from the Season Pass. Premium rewards can be unlocked by buying the Season Pass, which in Season 1 costs 499 Gold Slabs, a premium currency you can buy as an in-app purchase.

As is typically the case with free to play casual mobile games, this PvP-focused one also uses a similar Stamina system to limit the number of matches you can play for free in a certain span of time. In this case, you can still play if you don’t have any Stamina, but an Athlete with no Stamina is in a tired state, and playing a tired Athlete leads to diminished rewards. Specifically, a tired Athlete will earn you only 1/3 of the Trophies you’d usually earn, and a third of the experience and currency you’d normally get as well. You start off with 4 Stamina and each match uses up 1 Stamina, regenerating 1 Stamina every 2 hours. If you don’t want to wait, you can also consume Booster drinks to refill your Stamina. Each Booster gives +3 Stamina to the chosen Athlete. You can also consume Trophy Boosters to double the number of Trophies you can win, but only for the next fight.

Following a pre-registration period, ONE Fight Arena launched on March 20th, 2025 and has garnered more than 100k+ downloads to date. Here’s how you can play to earn in this Sui-powered web3 game for free.

How to Play to Earn in ONE Fight Arena

You can get started with play to earn gaming on ONE Fight Arena by downloading the blockchain game as an accessible free to play title on your Android or iOS device via the Play Store or App Store respectively. The official X announcement contains a link that will take you to the download page.

Once you’re in, you can choose to play as a guest, but if you want to actually play and earn, then you should likely set up a ONE Passport account straight away. This will redirect you to your mobile browser to allow you to easily create a ONE Account using either email, Google, or Facebook. This registration process will automatically create a wallet for you on Sui that will be linked to your account. When you’re finished setting up your account, you will get to complete the game’s tutorial and earn exclusive rewards for doing so, such as 1000 Adrenaline.

Adrenaline is the main blockchain-powered points system in ONE Fight Arena. You will want to collect as much Adrenaline as you can if you want to play to earn $SUI tokens in raffles, leagues, and seasons, alongside real-world rewards such as event tickets, merchandise, VIP experiences, and potentially more.

To start earning Adrenaline, simply play and win PvP matches while completing a variety of quests. You can find the game's dedicated web3 questing platform by heading to the Pro Arena section located on the game’s home page in the top left, under your profile icon. Pro Arena is the name of the game’s dedicated web3 season through which you can complete various different quests to earn Adrenaline. To see the blockchain-powered quests though, you will need to access the Pro Arena season through your browser, with a button located on the season’s dedicated in-game section. This will take you to the game’s web3 dashboard on their official website, specifically opening up this season’s leaderboard, but you’ll want to head to the Quests area to start earning Adrenaline. You can earn Adrenaline by completing daily quests, limited time tasks, social quests, partnership-based tasks, and gameplay-focused missions such as winning 3 matches in a row.

Once you’ve collected enough Adrenaline, you can choose to spend them on the web3 store for various rewards. You can also spend Adrenaline on entry tickets for different raffles. Adrenaline collected from matches can be withdrawn by opening up your Athlete's in-game page and tapping on the Withdraw button in the Athlete's Management tab. This will send them to your account wallet, and the process does not seem to require paying any fees to withdraw.

For this first season, there is a total seasonal prize pool of $10k in $SUI tokens and other prizes up for grabs. Specifically, it seems there is a total of 1110 $SUI tokens, with 5 winners set to win 50 $SUI each in a raffle that seems set to take place mid-May. You need 1000 Adrenaline to buy a ticket for this raffle, which is set to close on April 28th. Soon, you will also be able to buy tickets for various leagues and tournaments.
