Started in 2021, PlayToEarn held the first ever blockchain gaming awards pushing the industry culture forward. Each year has seen larger participation than the previous year. With user voting at its core, the event aims to recognize and amplify the best in blockchain gaming.
In 2023, the PlayToEarn Blockchain Game Awards generated 1 million impressions and saw over 125,000 visitors exploring our site to vote or discover new blockchain games.
Now, we return in 2024 for the 4th edition of our Blockchain Gaming Awards, celebrating excellence in blockchain gaming.
The process is pretty simple. Starting on December 5th, 2024, voting opens up for our Blockchain Game Awards. Users can visit https://playtoearn.com/awards and make their selections across all eighteen categories.
There are a lot of games to choose from, so each voter can select their five top choices from the lists in each category.
Voting closes on December 19th. Then the votes will be tabulated and the winners announced on December 20th. The rewards for the winners will be distributed in February of 2025.
How to Vote for the Blockchain Game Awards
Voting in the PlayToEarn Blockchain Awards is open to everyone, though you will need to login to the PlayToEarn site. This can be done with a web3 wallet or a Google login. After that, head over to the Awards page and start submitting your votes!
Each voter gets 5 votes per category. And aside from the good feeling that comes from supporting your favorite games and creators, voters also earn rewards of their own!
Each voter receives 10 PlayToEarn Points per category they vote on. Every voter is also entered into a special giveaway that includes a PS5 and five $100 rewards as prizes.
How are Nominees for the Blockchain Game Awards Selected?
Game Nominations: All games are automatically nominated based on their PlayToEarn score.
Content Creators & Guilds: Creators and guilds are manually nominated based on reputation, engagement, and impact in the web3 gaming space.
Nominees for Game of the Year and Most Anticipated Game are selected by the PlayToEarn team based on a variety of criteria including (but not limited to), player activity, development milestones, social presence, blockchain tech incorporation and advancement, and which games we find the most fun to play.
Building on past success, this year’s awards will feature 18 categories across four divisions to honor the top games, content creators, gaming guilds, and gaming ecosystems shaping the industry.
