Blockchain game developer Pixion Games is launching an Exclusive Playtest for Fableborne on September 8, and signs up for players who meet entry requirements are still open until September 4, 9 PM UTC.
What’s New in Fableborne’s Exclusive Playtest?
The Exclusive Playtest, also referred to as the Bug Bash Playtest, is a confidential and holders-only playtest that gives players an early glimpse at loads of new content and features to enjoy ahead of Fableborne’s Season 4 launch.
The test session is said to include a new hero called Ember, new units, and a couple of features that have not been revealed. Because of how content-packed the upcoming season is compared to Season 3, the developers have decided to host this playtest in hopes of finding out and fixing any hidden bugs and issues that may be present. As a result, anyone participating can probably expect things to break and glitch out, with the team probably pushing out hot fixes during the testing period only if players encounter game-breaking problems.
Due to the confidentiality of this playtest, there is no detailed info on what all the new features and units are, aside from some teasers in the past few months. Considering the sign-up page mentions “unrevealed gameplay” and the X announcement notes that there are “multiple unseen-before game features,” then it does seem there is a lot more content at work here than what has been publicly shown so far. Which is why this playtest is confidential, meaning testers are not allowed to share anything about the build they get their hands on.
Progress made and rewards earned during this 48-hour test will be all wiped, meaning that you don’t get to keep raffle tickets from $POWER Chests and rewards from $POWER Bounties. In case you’re not familiar with $POWER Chests and $POWER Bounties, they are new web3 features for Season 4 that were teased back in June. $POWER Chests are essentially lootboxes from which you can win exclusive prizes, while $POWER Bounties are raid challenges you can complete to fill up the War Rune for more rewards.
If you want to take part in this playtest and help the developers fix bugs to make sure the game is in a polished state for the upcoming season, then here’s what you can do to sign up.
How to Sign Up for Bug Bash Playtest
You can sign up for the Bug Bash Playtest by applying to the official Alphabot page before September 4, 9 PM UTC, only as a Primordial or Kingdom NFT holder. This Exclusive Playtest starts on September 8 and runs for 48 hours, ending on September 10.
Primordials represent an NFT collection of 1392 unique PFPs that are said to provide utility within the game and future first-party titles developed by the same studio. This PFP collection launched on Polygon in October 2023 before migrating to Ethereum in May 2024, where you can now buy it through OpenSea, Blur, or Magic Eden for the floor price of 0.25 ETH, which seems to currently be the same price across all 3 NFT marketplaces.
Kingdoms represent the game’s 2nd NFT collection, designed to give players another way to earn the upcoming $POWER token through seasonal utility that includes ranking on staking NFT leaderboards and using a merge-to-mint system where players can increase the rarity of their Kingdom by merging ERC-1155 NFT resources such as wood, iron, and more materials that can be earned through gameplay. The collection went live in February 2025 and has a total of 7251 NFTs that can be used as in-game castles, and instead of Ethereum, you can find these assets on the Ronin network via the Ronin Market and OpenSea for the floor price of 83 RON at the time of writing.
If you don’t own any of the 2 NFTs, then you will need to become a holder to have a chance to participate. A total of 2000 applicants will be picked to playtest, and since there are only 255 entries with around 24 hours to go before the deadline is reached, it seems there is plenty of space for anyone still interested to jump in and become a tester.
To apply, you will first have to register for an Alphabot account using a social sign in option or a crypto wallet. This will then allow you to complete application tasks that include entering your Ronin wallet, connecting your Discord and X accounts, following the game’s X profile, and verifying for a holder role in their Discord server. You will then have to answer application questions, which basically ask for your Google Play Store email or TestFlight account email, as well as your Discord name, while requiring you to agree to the playtest’s confidentiality terms. It’s important to note that you can only submit one email, either for Android or iOS, so make sure to submit the right email for the mobile device you’d actually like to play the game on for this test session. Follow the important notes on the page carefully to make sure you apply successfully. Your Ronin wallet does not need to be linked to your Pixion ID, and if you don’t have a Pixion ID already, then be sure to create one through the game’s official website to be ready to play in the latest season.

About Fableborne
Fableborne is a free to play action RPG and strategy hybrid in which you build your own kingdom and set up defenses while raiding kingdoms made by other players. Players will have the ability to play to own on-chain assets, with web3 elements said to be completely abstracted for a seamless and accessible blockchain gaming experience. So far, players have been able to take part in play to airdrop seasons to accumulate various different points that will convert to $POWER, but after TGE takes place at some point during or after Season 4, players will likely be able to play to earn the token through $POWER Chests and $POWER Bounties. $POWER is the studio’s core token for infrastructure platform Power Protocol and its ecosystem, and early this year saw the Fableborne developer raise $12.4m in total for the token launch and more.
The game is set to officially launch on Android and iOS and is currently closed until Season 4 starts. According to the latest dev diaries, the team is merging all S5 content into S4, so if you played to airdrop in Fableborne Adventures Season 3 last year, expect to see a huge upgrade in the upcoming build of this isometric web3 title.
