Power Protocol has announced a partnership with Fableborne developer Pixion Games to provide the latter with Web3 live ops infrastructure.
What Benefits Does This Partnership Bring to Fableborne?
Well, not many details have been revealed regarding this partnership at the time of writing. According to an email sent out to subscribers of Fableborne’s newsletter, their new partner will be powering the action RPG + strategy hybrid as well as future games with their “innovative” infrastructure that is said to improve the way the studio releases “game content and experiences.” The email also refers to this collaboration as a “major milestone” for the team's gaming ecosystem, and that they're delighted to be making this happen.
This announcement also means that Fableborne becomes the launch partner of Power Protocol, and it looks like we can look forward to more information being unveiled soon, according to a Discord post in the game’s official server.
Power Protocol is described as being a Web3 gaming live ops infrastructure platform, which seems to have only just surfaced on social media with an X account created this June. As such, its official website has one main page with no real info on it, with the social media link interestingly pointing to Fableborne’s X account instead of the platform’s own. In any case, this kind of infrastructure is traditionally designed to help with live-service games that need an easy way to have new content and updates continuously pushed out to the live build. This platform however looks set to use Web3 technology in some way to create a “revolutionary” infrastructure. It’ll be interesting to get more specific details on this platform, and I’m guessing it won’t be long before both sides start sharing more info on what they have in store for the blockchain gaming community.
