Wilder World Launches Wheels Arcade Event With Over 100K $WILD Rewards

Wilder World has officially launched Wheels Arcade, a racing competition spanning more than 100k $WILD tokens to compete for across multiple tournaments in the gaming metaverse.

Event Details

The event began on May 2nd and consists of 4 weeks of qualifying rounds leading up to Consensus Austin, the finale that will be hosted IRL in Austin.

While the first pre-qualifying week ended on May 7th and took place on the Seaside track, the 2nd pre-qualifiers are now underway from May 8th to May 14th, 11:59 PM PT. The featured track for this week is Lunar Lane, featuring a length of 1.92 miles, 12 checkpoints and 11k $WILD tokens up for grabs for the top 50 racers.

After week 2 ends, the 3rd qualifying week starts on May 15th, 00:00 PM PT and ends on May 21st, 11:59 PM PT, with players racing on the Meridian Surge track. The last qualifying round will see participants race in the Underground track from May 22nd, 00:00 PM PT to May 28th, 11:59 PM PT.

For every week there is a weekly prize pool of 11k $WILD tokens awarded to the top 50 racers, with the player who manages to gain the fastest lap in that week earning 2000 tokens and a qualifying seed for the finale. The announcement also teases that players stand a chance of gaining secret bonus rewards.

To participate in the tournament, players must fill out an application form linked in the official announcement, with participants required to use the game’s “add wallet” feature to input their ETH address in order to be fully eligible for participation.

Wheels Arcade Austin

The finale is scheduled to take place IRL on Friday, May 31st at the following venue: 2008 Alexander Ave, Austin, TX 78722. Anyone can attend for free as no ticket is needed, but you’ll want to arrive early as the event is first come, first serve, with anyone interested also encouraged to RSVP with their ETH wallet in order to stand a chance of winning potential prizes.

Everyone who attends will actually be able to race through an open qualifying round. In this round, the top 16 lap times will head into a playoff bracket for heads up races, competing through the quarter finals and semi-finals before wrapping it up with the finals.

The prize pool for this finale is reserved for the top 3 racers, with the winner earning 30k $WILD tokens while 2nd place gets 15k $WILD tokens and 3rd place receives 5k $WILD tokens.
