Season 3 of Tollan Universe arrives on December 1 with a new theme titled Elemental Madness. The update launches on Abstract Chain and introduces a skill-based competition where players survive waves of enemies, earn points, climb leaderboards, and compete for an expanding prize pool paid in ETH. Week 1 opens the new season and brings the first round of leaderboard challenges, elemental mechanics, and reward systems.

Below is an overview of the ecosystem, the features included in Season 3, and how players can take part in the Week 1 play to earn event.

What Is Tollan Universe?

Tollan Universe, formerly known as Tollan Worlds, is a web3 gaming ecosystem designed around fast sessions, leaderboard-based progression, and a recurring seasonal structure. The project is powered by Proof of Play technology and will operate on Abstract Chain beginning December 1.

The ecosystem focuses on survival gameplay with point-based scoring. Players enter runs, defeat incoming waves of enemies, collect points, unlock elemental abilities, and attempt to reach the highest possible scores before the timer expires or before they are defeated. Each season looks set to introduce a new theme that changes gameplay elements and reward structures.

The project is built with a seasonal economy that features prize pools paid in ETH, multipliers that influence total recorded scores, a VIP system with added benefits, referral rewards, and a variety of point-based opportunities. Runs are recorded onto leaderboards, and only the top performers receive prize payouts at the end of every weekly event. Players must also meet minimum participation requirements to qualify for leaderboard placement.

The Tollan Universe ecosystem looks to aim to give players consistent weekly opportunities to play to earn through skill-based gameplay. Each week is set to feature its own prize pool, and each season could bring its own mechanics that influence how players approach runs, builds, and scoring strategies.

What's New in Tollan Universe Season 3: Elemental Madness?

Season 3 introduces a theme based on elemental combat and random affinities. Every wave in the game now includes one or more elemental alignments: Fire, Water, Wind, and Energy. Enemies spawn with elemental shields that must be broken with abilities that match the affinity of the wave. Players must adjust their loadouts and adapt their choices every time a new wave begins.

The elemental affinities for each wave are generated by Proof of Play vRNG tech. This ensures that no two runs are identical. The randomized nature of affinities creates a stronger emphasis on adaptability, decision making, and strategic skill selection. Choosing the correct elemental setup becomes essential for pushing deeper waves and accumulating more points.

This season also comes with 2 leaderboards: Total Powerboard and Peak Run Board. Total Powerboard tracks all points collected across every Empowered Run. The Peak Run Board displays the highest single run score achieved during the week. At the end of Week 1, the top 100 players on each leaderboard earn a share of the prize pool.

The initial Week 1 prize pool contains $3000 worth of ETH, sponsored by Abster (@absterxyz) and Parody Gooner (@PurgyPengoon). In addition, 40% of all crowns spent by players on multipliers and purchases during the event will be added to the prize pool. Prize payouts are made in ETH and are delivered to each player’s Abstract Global Wallet after final score verification.

Season 3 also introduces multiple new systems that influence scoring and progression. The multiplier and crown system determines how many times a score is logged to the Total Powerboard. Players can choose between 1x and 200x multiplier values. All multipliers require crowns (35 crowns per 1x), and crowns must be purchased before starting a run.

The VIP Pass returns for Season 3 and gives a 10% bonus to points, discounts on in-game purchases, 1 free Affinity Roulette per day, and access to VIP versions of the bonus enemy. The bonus enemy can appear during runs, and defeating it grants additional points. VIP players have a higher chance of encountering the stronger bonus enemy version and can earn between 100 and 1000 bonus points per appearance.

In-game purchases have been expanded for this season, as players can buy an Elemental Reset, which grants all 4 affinities for the current wave. They can also purchase skill re-rolls up to 3 times in a single run. Prices increase with each purchase.

Referral rewards are also part of the system. Players who refer others earn a share of revenue from purchases made by referred players for 12 months after the purchase of a VIP Pass. Reaching certain referral milestones grants crowns that can be used during the season.

Holders of Genesis Avatars receive a free VIP Pass for every week of Season 3. A snapshot was taken on November 28, meaning that only wallets that held a Genesis Avatar before the snapshot are eligible for the freebie.

Tollan Universe also introduced a Creator Program, which is designed for streamers, video creators, guild leaders, and community organizers. Participants can receive early access and special rewards and can contribute feedback to help shape the future of the project.

How to Play to Earn in Tollan Universe Season 3, Week 1

Week 1 of Tollan Universe Season 3 runs from December 1 at 00:00 UTC until December 7, 23:59 UTC, and players can play to earn by competing in Bullet Heaven Survivors mode. The objective is to move through waves of enemies, survive long enough to accumulate points, and reach the top of the leaderboards before the week ends.

To begin, players must enter an Empowered Run. Starting a run requires crowns. Players choose a multiplier between 1x-200x. The multiplier affects how many times their total points are added to the Total Powerboard. Multipliers do not affect the Peak Run Board. Players must complete at least 20x total multiplier to appear on the leaderboards.

The scoring system has several parts. Base Score consists of the total points earned from defeating enemies and completing waves. Bonus Enemy Points add extra points from defeating the special enemy that can appear randomly with a 20% chance per wave. VIP players receive a flat 10% bonus before their final score is multiplied.

The formula for the Total Powerboard score is Base Score plus Bonus Enemy Points plus the 10% VIP bonus, multiplied by the chosen multiplier. Peak Run Board scores ignore multipliers and only record the raw total from 1 run.

The core gameplay focuses on clearing waves before the timer runs out. If a wave is not cleared in time or if the player is defeated, the run ends. Pushing deeper into the wave sequence gives higher point values and increases the chance of climbing the leaderboard.

Players can also earn points through the bonus enemy system. If this special bonus enemy appears and is defeated, it grants between 1-500 points. VIP players can encounter special bonus enemies named Abster or Gooner. These versions have a 30% spawn chance and give between 100 and 1000 points.

At the end of Week 1, the top 100 players on the Total Powerboard and the top 100 players on the Peak Run Board will receive ETH prizes, with 80% of the reward pool reserved for the Total Powerboard and 20% for the Peak Run Board.

If you like wave-based survival gameplay similar to Vampire Survivors, then you should probably head to the ecosystem’s official website or check their socials on December 1 to be among the first to start their play to earn journey in the first week of Season 3.
