Free-to-play blockchain farming MMO Pixels has received its final update before the start of Chapter 2, with the latest version introducing the Guild Pledging feature.

Update Details

Guild leaders now have the ability to assign roles to members thanks to the new Pledging feature.

In order for a member to be able to gain a new role, they need to pledge their Shards to the Guild they would like to commit to. This means that you can only pledge to one Guild at a time, while leaders can only pledge to the Guild they own. Once you’ve done so, Guild Owners and Admins have the option to give you a new role. The roles that can be assigned to users include Member, Worker and Admin. Players who have a Supporter role include users who haven’t been formally accepted into the group by an Admin or leader but do own a Shard.

With this update, lands connected to Guilds now also have new permission settings that allow Landowners to determine what each role can access.

Next to these welcome additions, the patch notes also mention various bug fixes and miscellaneous changes, such as fixing player movement not displaying to other players, showing all future recipes in crafting dialogs, adding a confirmation dialog for the log out button, and more.

Future Plans

In the future, the developers plan on adding a Task Board to each Guild, allowing players to collaborate on completing various tasks that are much more challenging than the ones that can currently be done solo. New updates will also introduce Discoverable and Contestable Lands, making it possible for Guilds to find and compete over land plots.
