Freya: The Starfall has officially kicked off the public mint for its Premium Pass, the Pendant of the First Flame. With the game's open beta just two weeks away, this moment gives players a chance to gain early access to a competitive edge and a share of the massive $160,000 rewards pool set for the upcoming season.

The early whitelist phase allowed just 120 wallets to mint first. That phase sold out quickly. Now, the public sale has begun. Players have just 48 hours, or until supplies run out, to secure their Pendant. Originally capped at 500 units, the supply has now been reduced to just 333, making each pass even more exclusive. As of writing, over half have already been claimed.

Priced at 0.05 ETH, the Pendant offers a +35% boost to all rewards and resources earned during the open beta.

A Closer Look at the $160,000 Rewards Pool

The Freya open beta is set to run with a reward structure that balances strategy with accessibility. The $160,000 prize pool will be split across three main systems: Battle Rewards, Daily Leaderboards, and Seasonal Rankings.

The game encourages daily play but avoids the heavy grind often seen in other PvP games. Players can earn rewards through their first 20 battles each day. This keeps the pace casual while still offering real competitive depth.

Those with Premium Passes will naturally get an edge, not just due to faster progression, but also through daily boosts and early gear. These players are bound to earn more in a shorter amount of time.

With a focus on strategic gameplay, Freya's rewards are less about time investment and more about how well players adapt to its evolving combat systems.

The Pendant of the First Flame: What You Get

According to the team, The Pendant of the First Flame isn't just a cosmetic NFT. It's your pass to the highest level of rewards and resources during open beta.

Each holder receives a permanent +35% bonus to all rewards and materials earned. Other than that, players unlock the exclusive First Flame Founder's Chest when the beta begins. This early gift includes gear and items to help players jumpstart their journey.

Pass holders also receive daily resource drops, a unique commemorative title and avatar frame, and an honorary Discord role. These benefits don't just affect gameplay, they also give holders lasting recognition in the community.

With that, the Pendant also serves as proof of early support. This means extra surprises and bonuses will be unlocked later at global launch for those who held their Pendant from the start.

The mint is now live on OpenSea, and each wallet can mint up to two Pendants. As of today, only around 150 remain unclaimed.

Open Beta Kicks Off July 14

Freya's open beta will begin on July 14 and will be available on PC, iOS, and Android devices. Those who pre-registered before June 24 and completed social tasks through Immutable Play would've received 100 Immutable Gems, which can be used in broader ecosystem events.

The open beta will introduce two new PvP-focused modes designed to test both strategic depth and competitive skill. The first, Lord of the Seven Seas, is a solo arena mode where players compete head-to-head to prove who has the strongest squad. The second, Rivalry of the Tides, matches players who begin at similar times and places them in direct battle to control their own territories.

At the same time, the beta will stress-test the game's unique AI-powered world system. This feature lets NPCs, factions, and global events shift based on actual player decisions. Each world evolves differently, shaped by the players who inhabit it.

What Kind of Game Is Freya?

Freya: The Starfall is a competitive tactical RPG that combines deep character progression with dynamic multiplayer systems. It's being built by Rosentica, a Japanese studio working in partnership with Immutable. The game's lead designer, Sangsoo Jeong, previously worked on League of Legends and Diablo.

Gameplay is turn-based and built around building squads of "Mercenaries." Each Mercenary is unique, with randomly generated skill sets, attribute spreads, and a special zodiac alignment that influences their combat role.

This level of randomization gives each player a unique roster and encourages experimentation and discovery. A full talent tree system, comparable to those found in large MMORPGs, lets players customize their characters over time.

The combat focuses heavily on formation, synergy, and positioning. With each character having different attack patterns, range types, and targeting logic, the best players will be those who understand how to build tactical formations.

Gear, too, is procedurally generated and re-rolled each match, which ensures that battles stay fresh and unpredictable, even when fighting the same opponent.

The Web3 Layer: How Tokens Fit In

Freya's economy is powered by the $FREYA token, built on Solana. This token is used for everything from skill upgrades to governance. It also plays a role in the revenue-sharing structure of the game.

Each month, 30% of ecosystem earnings are distributed to $FREYA holders, giving dedicated players and early backers a recurring reward for their involvement.

The total supply of $FREYA is 555 million tokens. While all key in-game assets are onchain, the team has made sure that players who don't want to deal with wallets or crypto can still enjoy the game without friction.

Web3 elements are there for those who want to use them, but it doesn't block new players from jumping in and play.

Closed Beta: $100K in Prizes

Freya's Closed Beta ran from May 24 to June 7 and featured a $100,000 prize pool distributed across battle ranks and seasonal leaderboards. First place took home $30,000, with top 10 finishers earning between $3,000 and $10,000. Over 50% of players earned at least $100 in USDC alongside Starlight points.

Entry to the Closed Beta required 3,000 $FREYA and 50 USDC (burned), or a referral-based Gleam campaign. The high turnout and activity during the test have helped the team refine the experience for a smoother launch in mid-July.

What Comes After?

After the open beta begins, the team plans to introduce new PvP and PvE modes in rolling updates. More factions, seasonal challenges, limited-time characters, and story-driven events are already in the works.

Eventually, Freya will transition into a live-service model, where competitive seasons are marked by global events, balance changes, and strategic resets.
