Treeverse, an upcoming blockchain MMORPG by Endless Clouds, is launching into pre-Alpha this Q4. The team has confirmed such a release in the latest monthly updates.
Since Treeverse's combat trailer hit the scene in July, many have been waiting anxiously to try out the fantasy title. In particular, the top-down, open-world classless mobile MMORPG will feature plenty of social elements and cooperative gameplay.
"For the past month, the art team has been in the middle of heavy production for pre-alpha. We have nailed down most of our visuals and have a pretty clear idea of what each thing should look like inside the world of Treeverse," said Scott, Art Director of Endless Clouds.
According to Scott, Grassland, Trees, and Rocky Caves are some of the ever-present landscapes in the early version of Treeverse. These landscapes will act as foundational themes to build a vibrant open world later. Designers, on the other hand, are polishing up the combat system for players to enjoy some kick-ass moments in the game.
"To build up and fulfill the connections between all the in-game systems and the world lore design, designers have been focusing on the integration of system functionality, data, and layout performances during August," said Max, Lead Game Designer of Treeverse. "For example, the Forging and Recasting system, the main systems of the games, got lots of connections to other systems, and build a full game cycle of Treeverse."
Make no mistake, the ambitious project aims to compete with the likes of World of Warcraft and RuneScape. At launch, Treeverse will be free to play, allowing gamers to build and battle while exploring the vast continent of Arboros.
As of writing, the team has not revealed the exact date for the launch or how players can join the pre-Alpha. If you can't wait, you can always try your luck at getting an early invite by quote tweeting the post below.
