YGG Play is officially launching its new Launchpad this October, kicking off with the $LOL token for its first supported game, LOL Land. This move marks a big step in how Yield Guild Games (YGG) connects players to new blockchain titles in the emerging Casual Degen genre.
A Launchpad Built for Blockchain Gamers
The YGG Play Launchpad will go live on October 15. It's not just a token sale platform. Instead, it combines token launches, game discovery, and player questing all in one space. This design focuses on helping web3 gamers find fun, casual titles while also rewarding early engagement.
YGG Play, which began in May 2025, was created by the long-time web3 gaming group Yield Guild Games. Known for helping players earn from crypto games, YGG is now putting that knowledge to work in a new way. With the Launchpad, the goal is to link gamers to tokens and games they can actually play, not just speculate on.
$LOL Token Set to Launch First
The first token hitting the YGG Play Launchpad is $LOL, the in-game token of LOL Land. Those who have already explored the game will know it's a Monopoly-Go style board game that combines casual gameplay with crypto rewards. It's built by Hype Reel and published by YGG Play.
The $LOL token fuels the game's VIP system, letting players stake tokens to unlock better gameplay perks, raise their withdrawal limits, and boost in-game progression. This means that players who hold and use $LOL will be able to move faster in the game, earn more, and unlock premium features.
One key point: $LOL will be a DEX-only token. This means it won't be available on CEXs like Binance or Coinbase. Instead, trading will take place only on decentralized platforms, powered by the LOL Pool. For the broader YGG ecosystem, the main token continues to be $YGG, which remains available on both DEXs and CEXs.
VIP Staking and Withdrawal Boosts
The $LOL token's main use is in the VIP staking system. There are 10 VIP levels, each needing a higher amount of $LOL to unlock. As players move up, they gain stronger in-game perks. These include higher reward multipliers, faster game progress, and access to premium game content.
Everyone starts at the base reward level. But by staking more $LOL and moving up the VIP tiers, players can boost their in-game rewards. This setup keeps the token deeply tied to actual gameplay instead of speculation.
$LOL Launch Details
Here's what players need to know about the $LOL token launch:
The token has a fully diluted value (FDV) of $900,000 USD and a total supply of 5 billion $LOL. The launch event on the YGG Play Launchpad has a $90,000 USD participation goal, which will be accepted only in $YGG tokens. Every dollar contributed will go directly into the LOL Pool to support in-game activity.
Each player can only contribute up to 1% of the total target, or about $900 USD worth of $YGG. If the target isn't reached, all $YGG is refunded. If it is reached but not fully used, any extra is also returned. Points used for priority access are not refunded.
Token trading starts on November 1. Until then, you can earn priority access by questing and collecting YGG Play Points.
How the Launchpad Works
The Launchpad event starts with a questing phase on October 15. Players can stake $YGG or complete game quests to earn points. These points give users priority access during the contribution window, which runs from October 29 to 31.
The higher your points, the sooner you can contribute for a chance to receive $LOL tokens.
Points are updated daily and are tracked automatically, so there's no need for manual validation. This ensures a smooth and fair system for all active users.
Token Distribution Model
Only 10% of the total $LOL supply will be sold during the Launchpad event. Here's how the full token supply is split:
- 10% goes to the developer Hype Reel, with a 6-month cliff and 18-month release.
- 10% is set for Play-to-Airdrop rewards.
- 10% is for the Launchpad sale.
- 10% will support the LOL Pool for trading and liquidity.
- 60% is held back for future gameplay rewards and emissions.
- Importantly, YGG Play itself takes no share of the tokens.
This setup puts a strong focus on gameplay and long-term community growth, rather than giving early insiders an advantage.
Play-to-Airdrop: Earn $LOL by Playing
The Play-to-Airdrop (P2A) system gives players another way to earn $LOL just by playing the game. It's split into 2 seasons, with the first running from August 15 to October 29.
By spending in-game and staying active, players can earn leaderboard ranks. An added twist is that buying in-game NFTs counts 5 times more toward leaderboard scores. Marketplace trades are excluded, so only direct game activity matters.
On October 15, a leaderboard will go live, showing who's earned the most. The top players will earn their share of 5% of the total $LOL supply, and another 5% will be awarded in Season 2.
LOL Pool and Token Swaps
Once the $LOL token goes live, players can trade it through the LOL Pool, a decentralized exchange pool paired with $YGG. At launch, the pool will hold $180,000 USD worth of liquidity to support smooth swaps and low slippage.
All swap fees (1%) go back into the pool until it hits a cap of $1 million. After that, the fees will fund future player rewards, keeping value in the ecosystem.
About LOL Land and YGG Play
LOL Land launched in May 2025 as the first game from YGG Play. It mixes the fun of classic board games with crypto-native reward systems. Players roll dice, move through themed maps, collect NFTs, and earn $YGG tokens.
The game features maps like YGG City, Carnival, and Ice World Wonderland. It also includes avatars based on well-known Pudgy Penguins figures and even YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon.
LOL Land is built on Abstract Chain, which makes it easier for new players to get started using features like social logins and passkey wallets. It attracted over 100,000 pre-registrations and hosted a $10 million YGG token prize pool for active players.
YGG Play, the publisher of LOL Land, was formed by Yield Guild Games to create fun and rewarding web3 games. It focuses on Casual Degen titles, which are short-session games made for users who want quick fun with real token value.
