Play to Airdrop Season 1 for LOL Land has been officially announced to have begun on October 15, running until October 29 with $LOL rewards up for grabs for players who have spent the most on all in-game purchases, with spending retroactively counting all the way from August 15.
I guess you could say that the season has been live all along, with the leaderboard up just now alongside the YGG Play Launchpad debut, 2 weeks before the end of the first season. Though this significantly benefits early players, you can still win a token airdrop even if starting now, and perhaps become better prepared for the second airdrop season. You don't need to rank to the top; as long as you meet certain requirements, you'll be airdropped as well. Here’s everything you need to know.
What Is LOL Land?
LOL Land is a casual browser-based on-chain board game developed by Hype Reel and published under the Yield Guild Games (YGG) Play ecosystem. It marks YGG’s first internally developed title and brings a degen, web3 twist to the familiar charm of board games.
Launched on May 23, 2025 with a $10 million prize pool on Abstract Chain, this blockchain game allows players to roll dice, move across colorful themed boards, and earn a variety of rewards including $LOL tokens, NFTs, and YGG ecosystem points. Each board offers a unique environment, from the sunny Beach Day map to the Pudgy Penguins-themed Pengu Wonderland.
The gameplay mixes chance and strategy. Players roll dice to move their avatars across tiles that can trigger bonuses, multipliers, or item pickups. Luck plays a big part in determining outcomes, but smart use of resources and in-game items can make the difference between winning small and hitting big. The game takes inspiration from classic board titles like Monopoly but reimagines them with blockchain mechanics that let players truly own what they earn.
Free to play elements let anyone start with a limited number of dice rolls. Additional rolls can be earned through gameplay or purchased to extend sessions. The more you play, the higher your leaderboard potential, especially during reward campaigns such as the current one.
YGG has described LOL Land as a game “built for casual degens,” offering fast, lighthearted fun while integrating real web3 rewards. Since its launch, it has been featured in YGG GAP Season 10 alongside other major titles such as Splinterlands, Wildcard, and DeFi Kingdoms.
How Does LOL Land's P2A Season 1 Work?
The Leaderboard for Season 1 of LOL Land’s Play to Airdrop (P2A) event officially went live on October 15, but the season has been technically ongoing since August 15, and is running until October 29.
During this period, in-game spending determines your position on the leaderboard, which directly impacts how many $LOL tokens you could earn once the airdrop concludes.
According to the official announcement, 5% of the total $LOL supply will be distributed during Season 1. That equals a significant allocation reserved entirely for players who take part in this first airdrop campaign.
The Top 50 players will share 94.95% of the total airdrop pool, while all other qualifying players will split the remaining 5.05% equally.
To qualify, players must opt in from inside the game. No opt in means no airdrop rewards, so make sure that’s the first thing you do when you start playing. A minimum in-game spend of $100 is also required to become eligible. All in-game spending made between August 15 and October 29 counts toward the leaderboard. In-game NFT purchases give 5x extra points, while marketplace trades are excluded, so only in-game spending counts.
Once the season ends, token distribution will take place as part of the broader YGG Play ecosystem rollout, linking directly into the new YGG Play Launchpad.

What Is the $LOL Token?
The $LOL token is the in-game loyalty and reward currency of LOL Land. It’s designed to power the game’s VIP and staking systems while fueling player progression, item unlocks, and premium in-game benefits.
Unlike typical gaming tokens, $LOL is built to be a DEX-only utility token, and as such will be available exclusively through decentralized exchanges, with no plans for centralized exchange listings. Within the broader YGG ecosystem, $YGG remains the main token, while $LOL serves as a dedicated asset that supports the game economy.
Here's an overview of the tokenomics:
- Total Supply: 5 billion $LOL
- Fully Diluted Value (FDV): $900k USD
- Play-to-Airdrop Allocation: 10% of total supply across two P2A seasons
- Season 1 Distribution: 5% of total supply
- Season 2 Distribution: 5% of total supply (to be announced)
- 10% for developer Hype Reel (6-month cliff, 18-month release)
- 10% for P2A campaigns
- 10% for Launchpad participants
- 10% for the LOL Pool
- 60% reserved for future gameplay and rewards
When it comes to utility, players will be able to stake $LOL to unlock 10 different VIP levels after the airdrop campaign is over. Higher tiers offer exclusive perks, increased withdrawal limits, faster progression, and better reward multipliers. Every player starts at a base in-game withdrawal level, so by staking $LOL and advancing through VIP tiers, players can unlock higher multipliers for in-game rewards and bonuses.
$LOL also connects to YGG Play’s wider ecosystem through the YGG Play Launchpad, where contributors can use $YGG to access new game tokens, with this being the first token to be featured there. All funds contributed to the LOL Pool support in-game liquidity and player rewards.
How to Participate in LOL Land Play to Airdrop Season 1
Getting started with Play to Airdrop Season 1 in LOL Land is straightforward, so long as you make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements that include opting in through the game and spending at least $100 on in-game purchases before the season ends on October 29.
Head to the game’s official website to start playing, and make sure to opt in to the season inside the game itself by clicking on the Opt-In button to confirm participation. If you don’t do this, you won’t be eligible for any airdrop, regardless of your in-game spending.
Once you’ve opted in, your next requirement is to spend at least $100 directly in the game. Any in-game purchase you make will give you leaderboard points, and if you spend the minimum amount before the season ends, you should be eligible for your share of leaderboard rewards. If you make in-game NFT purchases, those will count as 5x extra points, helping you very nicely in climbing to the top 50 on the leaderboard, who are set to receive 94.95% of the total amount being distributed, which is 5% of the token’s total supply. Everyone else will equally split a share of 5.05% by meeting the 2 requirements.
Following the airdrop, the YGG Play Launchpad will host a contribution period from October 29 to 31, during which players can use $YGG and YGG Play Points to gain more $LOL. The token officially launches on November 1, when trading should go live on DEX.
