After giving a sneak peek on future plans, the new 2025 roadmap for Heroes of Mavia is now live, giving us a comprehensive overview of the many plans developer Skrice Studios has this year for their free to play Base-powered mobile strategy game.
Heroes of Mavia’s 2025 roadmap is packed with a variety of milestones that all aim to help in creating an AI-driven blockchain gaming ecosystem with cross-game interoperability.
The contents of the roadmap are split across all 4 quarters of this year, which means it also contains milestones completed during the first quarter. Q1 2025 marked the successful launch of the Mavia Marketplace & Exchange (MPEX) and the start of full MPEX operations. It was also the start of the development of Nexira DAEP (Digital Asset Exchange Platform) concepts and models, as well as documentation and UX/UI designs for the platform. The game itself underwent balancing and optimization, while Level Rewards for Season 1 were sent.
For Q2 2025, the plan is to transition MPEX to Nexira DAEP in the form of a phased migration process. The game’s in-game currency, Ruby 1.0, is also set to be swapped to Ruby 2.0. The developers are said to be doing rigorous migration testing, with plans to make more optimizations post-migration. New features are also on the way for the web3 game itself, including weekly tournaments and an in-game event called Earth Day. Expect Level Rewards for Season 2, alongside updates for Alliance Donations and the leaderboard.
In Q3, the beta version of Nexira DAEP is planned to go live, together with a big launch of 5 new flagship games that are completely integrated with the platform. Optimizations will of course follow after the platform’s launch, while operations are set to be scaled accordingly to make sure everyone can have a smooth and enjoyable blockchain gaming experience. When it comes to new in-game content, you can look forward to the release of HQ 10, new heroes & weapons, the Lucky Wheel, an in-game event called World Chocolate Day, and Level Rewards for Season 3.
The final quarter of 2025 should mark the full official and worldwide launch of Nexira DAEP. This will lead to full ecosystem integration, a global release event, various unnamed advanced features, infrastructure scaling, utility expansion, and community engagement. For the team’s main game, there won’t just be a new HQ 11 and Level Rewards for Season 4, but you can also expect to see integration of Land Trading, the start of Alliance Wars, and the launch of NFT Crafting to allow players to mix up various assets to create something new. When asked by a community member about use cases for landholders, the team replied and said that land NFT owners might be able to rent out their lands in Q4 as a potential addition to the upcoming Land Trading feature.
After publishing the new roadmap, the developers posted a new Discord announcement to provide more details on Ruby 2.0 migration, MPEX migration, and DAEP deployment.
The announcement revealed that the Mavia team is planning to migrate Ruby 1.0 to Ruby 2.0 at some point around April 18th. This will be a 1:1 conversion process, so you should still have the same amount of Ruby when the migration takes place. It looks like the earning formula won’t be changing either, “so players can expect consistency in value.” The earning process however will be updated, meaning that 2.160 billion Ruby 2.0 is set to be pre-minted and allocated for 6 flagship games within the upcoming Nexira DAEP ecosystem. Heroes of Mavia is also among the list of games that are a part of this distribution.
As for Nexira DAEP deployment and MPEX migration, those are said to be on track to happen on April 25th, marking a “huge step forward as we continue to advance the future of Web3 gaming.”
Heroes of Mavia is available as a free to play title on Android and iOS devices across the Play Store and App Store respectively. Set up your base and play to earn Ruby by attacking bases made by other players. The in-game currency can be used to purchase various assets, and it can also be converted to the $MAVIA governance token using the game’s official marketplace.
