Rugpull Bakery is a competitive, meme-themed on-chain game where players run a virtual bakery, bake cookies, and compete for prizes. It blends idle and management gameplay with player-versus-player strategy, including sabotage attacks called rugs. Rugpull Bakery runs in fixed seasons on the Abstract blockchain.
Rugpull Bakery is not fully free to play. To compete in a season you must register by paying a one-time ETH buy-in, and gameplay actions such as boosts and attacks also require ETH for gas and randomness fees. You can browse the game for free, but actual participation requires funding an Abstract Global Wallet with ETH.
In Rugpull Bakery you earn by baking cookies, which build your score and climb the season leaderboard. At the end of each season an ETH prize pool is distributed to the top-performing bakeries and their members according to that season's published payout rules. Cookies themselves are in-game points used for scoring and spending, not a directly withdrawable currency.
Rugpull Bakery runs on Abstract, an Ethereum layer-2 network with chain ID 2741. Registration, baking, boosts, and attacks are all handled by smart contracts on Abstract. Players interact with the game using an Abstract Global Wallet.
According to the official documentation, Rugpull Bakery uses ETH for gas and fees and in-game Cookies for gameplay, rather than a separate tradable game token. Cookies are season-scoped and are spent on boosts, attacks, and bakery upgrades. The official game docs do not describe a standalone Rugpull Bakery token or NFT collection.
Boosts and rugs are the core strategic actions in Rugpull Bakery. Boosts improve your own bakery's output or defenses, while rugs are attacks launched against rival bakeries to slow their production. Both are paid for with Cookies plus an ETH fee, and their outcomes can involve on-chain randomness.
Rugpull Bakery is a browser-based web app, so it can be played on desktop or mobile through a web browser. Playing requires an Abstract Global Wallet, which is connected through a popup login flow. There is no in-app funding, so the wallet must be funded with ETH separately before playing.
To start, open the Rugpull Bakery site and connect an Abstract Global Wallet, then fund it with enough ETH for the buy-in and fees. Register for the active season by paying the current buy-in, and create or join a bakery. Once you are registered and part of a bakery, you can begin baking cookies to earn score.
Rugpull Bakery is a real on-chain game whose mechanics run through smart contracts on the Abstract network, and its name is a self-aware play on crypto culture. It has faced controversy, however: its second season drew accusations of bots and multi-accounting, which prompted anti-cheat reforms in later seasons. Because participation involves spending real ETH in a competitive game where your stake can be lost, players should treat it as entertainment rather than an investment.
The official game materials do not list specific country restrictions for Rugpull Bakery. To play you need an Abstract Global Wallet and ETH, and the legality of crypto-based games varies by jurisdiction. Players should check their local laws on blockchain gaming and crypto transactions before participating.
Rugpull Bakery is built on the Abstract blockchain and is run by a developer that communicates publicly as OnchainChemists, which has announced the game's rule changes and season reforms. The project sits within the broader Abstract ecosystem. The team manages seasons, payouts, and ongoing gameplay balance updates.
Each Rugpull Bakery season runs for a fixed duration, typically around 7 to 14 days. During a season players register, form bakeries, bake cookies, and compete, and at the end prizes are paid out according to that season's rules. New seasons start fresh, so cookies and standings reset between seasons.
