Sobre Olden Era
Ten citadels stand between you and the top of the ladder. You have one Warlord, nine creatures, and three fights per card a day. Choose well.
Every march begins at the muster table. The berserker hits like a landslide and folds to a stiff breeze. The guardian will hold the line all day and kill nobody. The assassin either crits or wastes the turn. You hang artifacts on your Warlord, and the element rolled onto him decides the magic he carries - Fire, Frost, Lightning, Shadow, Death, Holy, Arcane, Earth, Spirit. Then you march, and the fight resolves card by card while the citadel's health drains.
THE LADDER
Runestone. Bonespire. Highkeep. Dragon Keep. Ten citadels, each unlocked only by breaking the one before it, each taken three ways - Raid, Siege, Onslaught. Your first victory on any of the thirty encounters pays double, so the first clear is always the sweetest one.
THE FORGE TAKES ITS CUT
Refine a card to +12 and it becomes a monster. But the odds fall as you climb - 95% on the first step, 13% on the last - and one failed attempt drops the card back to +0. Buy protection and you lose a single level instead. Or don't, and find out.
Three cards of one rank cross into one of the next: Recruit, Soldier, Veteran, Knight, Champion, Master, Legend, Immortal. Somebody always has to be the fodder.
WHY IT'S FAIR
The dice are not in your browser. Crit, block, boss targeting, loot and the outcome itself are rolled on the server - your client only shows what already happened. Nobody wins a fight from the console.
Gold buys summons. $OEM is what you win in battle - and the only thing you take out. The two never exchange, and that is the point.
