Developer Zillion Whales has officially started off Season 2: The Age of Balance for their free card-based RTS, Wild Forest.
For this third season of the mobile title (the first took place in November as Season 0), the team has focused on providing a more balanced experience to help make it fair for everyone as much as possible. As a result, this means that the new season doesn’t just start in Battle Pass, but in the Leaderboard as well. From now on, the Leaderboard will restart at the beginning of every season, reverting each player’s rating back to the league they were last in. This should make it fairer for everyone to compete for various rewards reserved for the very best.
The matchmaking has been updated in order to stop players from abusing the system by using multiple accounts, so if the game detects that someone keeps continuously playing against the same opponent, the system will now prevent them from playing together again for a temporary period. You can also now no longer win when the opposing player disconnects from a match, and post-battle hang-ups should now be an issue of the past.
When it comes to units in particular, auto-attack has now been fixed, so your melee units should now actually attack anyone nearby instead of sometimes idling around and watching the world burn. The Knight is now 10% stronger in armor, health, and damage, while The Flaming Cat’s damage has been halved, making it more in line with first-tier units, though still capable against groups and “Burning Ground,” according to the announcement.
The Blood Hunter’s description has been corrected to properly say that it deals normal damage instead of penetrating damage, while the issue of Zeppelin struggling to attack has now been taken care of.
Improvements to productivity and stability are also said to have been made, with units now moving smoother than before.
