Sorare Rivals, a head-to-head fantasy football game mode of the well-known NFT fantasy sports platform Sorare, is now officially live on Android and iOS. 

What Is Sorare Rivals?

Sorare Rivals is a new daily game mode that the team revealed to be working on last year, and after months of closed beta testing, it is now open to the public as a free-to-play mode designed to be an accessible way for football fans to jump into Sorare and enjoy head-to-head fantasy football without spending money on cards. 

Features

Launched on January 11th on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, this mode lets you create a lineup consisting of 5 players from more than 350 licensed clubs across the best leagues using a draft budget.

Whenever it’s matchday, choose the match you’d like to compete in to start creating a lineup featuring players from the clubs playing against each other in your selected match. Once your lineup is ready, you can then choose your tactics, such as Tiki Taka or All out Attack. Which tactic you end up picking will determine what stats will be tracked for your lineup, and should your lineup get the tactic threshold, you’ll be awarded bonus points. This means that if you choose Tiki Taka and your selected players manage to complete a high number of passes, a certain amount of bonus points will be given to you. Sorare uses an advanced 48-stat scoring system to track every action that goes on during a match, allowing you to see how your team is performing live during the match thanks to the system that they claim is “the most advanced in fantasy football.”

You can go head-to-head against your friends, and when you do beat your friend for the first time, you will unlock the Arena, which is essentially a ranked matchmaking mode where you play for Reputation Score, Mystery Reward Boxes, and streaks. Winning Arena matches is rewarded with Reputation Points, while losing decreases your Reputation Score. You start off with 100 Reputation Points and work your way up to various ranks, getting matched with Managers that have a similar number of Reputation Points.

By completing challenge streaks, you could be rewarded with Mystery Boxes through which there is a chance of winning prizes such as VIP match tickets, player-signed football jerseys, tradable Sorare Pro cards, and potentially more.
