ManaStorm Studios has announced the launch of closed beta 1.3 for ScarQuest: Battle for Velhalla, a Web3 strategy game that has now also made its debut on Steam.

What’s New in Beta 1.3?

The team has had to reset player progress for this latest version in order to introduce a couple of improvements and features to enhance the overall experience. Among them is the addition of Twitter and guest account login functionality, but also the introduction of a revenge feature. With this feature, you can now attempt to take revenge on players who attacked you. You will now find this option available when viewing the Battle Record.

A reminder system has been introduced for land tax collection, with a skip function now included for opening treasure chests. On Homebase you’ll now see improved art, with various UI issues now also fixed. The duration of the reinforcement notification has been increased, while the placement area for spawning units in battle is now bigger than before. A couple of bug fixes have been made, with the developers also optimizing the effect of the DISMANTLER Z-14 Cyborg unit. Optimizations to the editing deck interface have also been made, so if the number of units in the deck goes beyond the interface range, you can now actually scroll up and down to see them all.

Steam Release

Beta 1.3 also marks the game’s preliminary launch on PC’s biggest gaming platform, allowing anyone to request playtesting access on there should they be interested in trying out the tactical title. Instead of just testing on mobile, players can now hop over to the new Windows and Mac versions that come with complete cross-platform support. By logging in to the same Twitter/X account that you use for the mobile version, you will be able to continue playing on the same account as on mobile. A cross-platform login guide is available in case you need a step-by-step video tutorial.
