Web3 gaming ecosystem PlayDapp has announced the upcoming mainnet launch in partnership with Avalanche.

Partnership Details

By partnering with the well-known Layer 1 network, the mainnet of the ecosystem will be able to provide users with a user-friendly blockchain experience that is said to be on “a whole new level.” The mainnet is said to be made specifically for the ecosystem, with the latter said to be powered by one native currency: $PDA. Through this platform, players will be able to make “hassle-free” transactions while using the marketplace, participating in various in-game tournaments, and playing a variety of play-to-earn games.

According to a press release, the mainnet launch is scheduled for April 11th in the form of an Avalanche subnet, moving away from the existing cross-chain platform over to this customizable new chain that brings scalability and low transaction costs. Holders of ERC-20 $PDA will be able to bridge their tokens to the new mainnet and use it as the currency for paying gas fees instead of doing it with $ETH or $MATIC. The announcement also states that stakers will be rewarded with in-game item drops for an upcoming Web3 title. Owners of Mikey NFTs will be informed on how to migrate their assets.

The mainnet will have its own DAO through which $PDA holders will be able to participate in governance, voting on the development of various mainnet services. To help users understand the DAO voting and reward system, a DAO game is planned to be introduced.
