Avalanche-backed Memoria has launched Blitz Idle Trial Run 1, encouraging players to team up and play to airdrop $ARTERY tokens until August 8.

What Is Memoria?

Memoria is an AI gaming ecosystem that aims to combine AI agents and web3 games with memes and wager mechanics. It’s backed by the Avalanche Foundation and has launched its own L1 mainnet earlier this year on the high-performance blockchain platform. However, a merge has recently taken place that has seen Memoria unite with Studio Artery and multiple other blockchain gaming projects to form one creator-focused platform that is now powered by their own Artery Chain.

As for this AI agent-focused gaming platform in particular, it currently consists of decentralized NFT nodes and in-game characters in the form of the AL NFT collection, alongside the $ALBERT utility token, and 2 browser-based games: Idle Chronicles, and now, Blitz Idle. A meme launchpad and 2 more games seem to also be planned, if the existing whitepaper is still relevant following the recent merge.

What Is the Artery Chain?

The Artery Chain is an Avalanche-powered Layer 1 network designed to enable the creation of engaging AI gaming experiences.

This gaming blockchain has been built with AI at the very heart of its core, and as such is able to offer the integration of AI-powered NPCs, companions and reputation systems, as well as AI-generated quests and worlds. Studios looking to build on this chain are said to be able to utilize a developer-friendly AI Game Builder SDK, and it will come with data bounties to support open source model training, according to an announcement in their official Discord server.

The L1 chain can already be added to your wallet, while the ARTERY token can be used for gas fees by early NFT holders and players of Memoria: Idle Chronicles, which started off its second closed beta at the beginning of this month. Soon, the team will look to deliver migration plans for Memoria holders, as well as new tokenomics and a whitepaper while launching the Artery Marketplace, airdrops & early staking campaigns, game jams & bounties, AI dev tools and playable modules.

If you want to win an ARTERY airdrop, then you may want to join in on the first launch of Blitz Idle, or possibly become an $ALBERT token holder as well, as 30% of the airdrop pool has been reserved to $ALBERT holders, though it’s not clear when or if the snapshot has already been taken.

What Is Memoria: Blitz Idle Trial Run 1?

Trial Run 1 is the first reward-packed playtest period for Blitz Idle, a new 2D game in the Memoria ecosystem.

From July 8 to August 8, players can band together and participate in daily raids for a chance at winning a share of the 10 million $ARTERY prize pool, which will be distributed to the top 10 crews. Daily raids take place every day at 1 AM, 6 AM, 12 PM, and 8 PM UTC.

For this Trial Run release, players can join and create their own crews in order to battle various bosses and climb to the top of the leaderboard. While doing so, participants have a chance of earning 4 new exclusive item NFT drops: Forge Stone, Walter’s Melo Energy Drink, Phoenix’s Ember, and Price Slash. These on-chain Artifacts are set to be usable in Memoria: Survival Idle, which seems to be an upcoming new game for which there is no info on at the time of writing.

Next to potentially earning rare NFTs while fighting bosses, teams will compete for the top 10 spots on the leaderboard to earn a piece of the 10 million $ARTERY prize pool. Here’s how many tokens will be airdropped per leaderboard placement:

How to Play to Airdrop in Blitz Idle Trial Run 1

To play to airdrop in Blitz Idle Trial Run 1, you will need to join or create a 5-player crew that participates in daily raids against challenging bosses. Next to forming a team of up to 5 players, you will also need to own one AL NFT to access the game, and so will each crew member too. This is an NFT-based idle game, and the AL NFT collection can be found on OpenSea or Blur via the Ethereum network, with the floor price currently at 0.018 ETH on OpenSea, a tad bit lower than on Blur. However, trading of these assets might still be suspended based on messages from their Discord server, so you might not be able to purchase the NFT until the developers launch their own marketplace. Existing NFT holders should have their assets already upgraded and airdropped on the Artery Chain.

Once you have the necessary NFT, you can get started by heading to the game’s official page and connecting your crypto wallet holding the asset using MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rabby, or WalletConnect. After you connect your wallet, you will also need to register with your email address and connect your X account.

Inside the game, you’ll be able to select your AL NFT and begin the crew creation process. Once created, you can start searching for players and inviting them to join you on a daily raid. Hosts can’t remove members during an active session. You can also use the Crew page to join a team yourself by searching for a specific group or looking at the list of available open sides. If the Crew Leader accepts, you’re in, and you won’t be able to leave until the session is over.

Once everyone is in and has chosen their NFT, the host can start the daily Blitz session. Before the game starts, you can see the rewards and enemies you’ll face alongside their stats. When the session stats, you can watch your AI engage in automated idle combat until the time is up. The damage dealt to the enemy goes towards the Blitz meter, with the Blitz leaderboard ranking crews by the total damage they managed to inflict for that session. Depending on the crew’s ranking, you’ll earn Prestige Points and unique items, with higher ranks getting more valuable items.

Overall, you’ll want to stick with the same crew every day and work together to try and gain the highest number of Prestige Points before the event is over to clinch a top 10 spot for the $ARTERY token airdrop. The stronger your NFTs collectively are, the more damage you’ll deal to daily bosses, in turn giving you a higher chance of ranking among the best crews for this month-long competition.
