Starting July 12th (or 11th depending on timezone) action RPG Seraph: In the Darkness is getting a new airdrop season called the Rush Series event, or Starry Journey, that everyone can jump into for free by downloading the dark fantasy title for PC, Android or iOS on the game’s official website. 

How Does the Event Work?

The event features up to 5 million tokens up for grabs across 4 different story-focused chapters opening on a weekly schedule:

  • Chapter 1: The Stargate- Opening time: July 12
  • Chapter 2: The Chaos Rift — Opening time: July 19
  • Chapter 3: The Ancient Deity — Opening time: July 26
  • Chapter 4: The Shadow of the Void — Opening time: August 2

By progressing through these and completing ‘journey tasks’ you can earn Starry Points. Friends who play using your invitation link will lead to you earning 5% of the Starry Points they get, while the friend’s rewards remain unaffected. You can check how many points you have on the main event webpage, though it may take some time for the in-game points to synchronize with the balance on the website.

Starry Points are used to redeem Starry Chests, which have a chance of containing Starry Feathers. The items you may find in these include:

  • Starry Points *100
  • Starry Points *200
  • Starry Points *500
  • Starry Points *1000
  • Starry Feather *1
  • Starry Feather *3
  • Starry Feather *10

Feathers are the most important items of this event, as you need them to gain token airdrop rewards. On July 19th, players will be able to mint these Feathers into NFTs on the opBNB chain in order to be eligible for token airdrops. The starting minting fee will be 0.0001 BNB, with the fee increasing over time throughout the event. Doing the process will require logging into the ActPass wallet, the game’s own custodial wallet. 1 Starry Feather will be equal to 1 token, with the exchange from Feathers to tokens set to begin based on the token’s TGE time, with future announcements set to provide more details on this aspect. Unminted Feathers will not receive any token allocation. In the event that the number of exchanged Feathers exceeds the 5 million token pool, the official announcement states that the developers will cover the excess amount using reserved tokens, so everyone should be able to get their token rewards.

NFT Holder Rewards

Holders of Arbitrum-based Unique NFT Series, Ethereum-based SOUL Series and the SERAPH Priority Pass Series, also on Ethereum, will be continuously rewarded with points based on daily snapshots, with the first snapshot taking place on July 12th, 00:00 UTC+8, the same time as the event is scheduled to start. This means NFT holders can earn points without playing the game, but getting them requires visiting the event page every day, because they need to be manually claimed in order to officially receive them. Unclaimed points do not carry over to the next day, so for example, if you miss claiming the points on July 15th, you won’t be able to claim those points on July 16th, but will only be able to claim the points allocated for July 16th.

Those who own an NFT from the Unique NFT Series collection will be able to get Chaos Points based on the level and treasure value of the NFT equipment, with higher levels (30, 40, 50, 60 and 70) featuring multipliers for the treasure value. Unminted equipment does not count, and Chaos Embers cannot be used to increase the NFT’s treasure value during this event.

Chaos Points are used to redeem Chaos Chests, which may contain the following:

  • Chaos Feather *1
  • Chaos Feather *3
  • Chaos Feather *10
  • BNB *0.2

Just like Starry Feathers, Chaos Feathers can also be minted into NFTs and used to receive token rewards. Each Chaos Feather is worth 3 tokens. If you end up getting BNB, you’ll have to wait for the event to end as BNB rewards are distributed within one week after the end of the event.

Owners of SOUL Series NFTs can earn Soul Points, with each regular R rarity PFP (token ID number 501–6000) getting 100 Soul Points every day, while SSR PFPs (token ID number 1–500) are each awarded with 500 Soul Points on a daily basis.

The SERAPH Priority Pass Series also gets Soul Points, with each NFT awarding 200 Soul Points every day. Soul Points are used to get Soul Chests, from which you may get one of these:

  • Soul Feather *1
  • Soul Feather *3
  • Soul Feather *10
  • Unique NFT Equipment *1

As with the previous two types, Soul Feathers too can be minted and thus exchanged for upcoming token rewards, with each Soul Feather worth 10 tokens. Just like with BNB, Unique NFT Equipment is also distributed within one week from the end of the event to your ActPass account wallet address.

If you hold any of these NFTs in an external wallet, then you have the option to bind one wallet to your ActPass account wallet address, making you eligible for the daily asset snapshots.

Bonus Activity Airdrop

Next to the main airdrop, the team also plans on hosting a bonus airdrop called “Starry Journey Activity Distribution”. An on-chain snapshot of Feather NFTs will be taken at some point before this extra airdrop, and everyone who holds at least 1 NFT will be eligible. Players will receive token rewards based on the number of chests they’ve opened in comparison to the total number of chests opened, with these activity rewards set to be distributed upon exchanging Feathers for tokens. All types of chests and Feathers count.

Among them, perhaps the most notable changes include a fixed experience bonus of +1000% and that everyone who creates a new character receives a level 60 upgrade item and a main quest completion item for chapters 1–10, allowing you to basically skip any big grind and jump straight to this action-packed event.
