The Blockchain and GameFi industries are evolving at a rapid pace and now, there is a new development. The zkRace’s $DERC tokens will be transformed into $ZERC tokens. This step aligns with the rebranding efforts of zkRace which was formerly known as DeRace. It is a front-running NFT horse racing game and the world’s first zk-rollup infrastructure tailored for GameFi. 
The new update is a notable step for enhancing the security and functionality of the tokens which will benefit the entire ecosystem. Furthermore, $DERC tokens will be changed to $ZERC tokens on a 1:1 basis and will maintain the total supply and other fundamental attributes. The transition will build up the security of its native tokens. Not to mention, the extra layer of protection added and more token utilities will boost the security. 


New bridges and LP staking farms will be released immediately after the token swap. Apart from the transition, zkRace is also integrating the advanced Lossless Aegis solution to add next-level security to the $ZERC tokens. It allows token contract monitoring for any suspicious activities and enables actions against potential exploits, ensuring security.

$ZERC Token Utilities

The transformed $ZERC tokens offer a wide range of utilities that extend beyond the basics of a token. It is deeply integrated into the zkRace ecosystem and will soon take over the $DERC as the sole currency for in-game transactions. It will also allow the purchase of any upcoming zkRace marketplace.

In addition to that, $ZERC will serve as a gas fee for GameFi projects, using the zkRace layer 2 zk-rollup Validium solution. This further embeds its use in the important gaming operations present in the gaming space. The $ZERC holders can also avail of early access to new releases within the W3Forge, the studio behind the zkRace ecosystem.

The swap of the two tokens is in its final stages before processing. However, the swap dates are yet to be announced. Once it is launched, the gaming community can get more secure and utility-rich tokens. The new advancements are seen as a huge step for the zkRace ecosystem and the token swap will be released soon.
