Global cosmetic brand Clinique has launched a groundbreaking metaverse experience called "Clinique Lab" that enables customers to immerse themselves in the company's rich history and discover its iconic products. Accessible through Clinique's main website, the virtual journey begins with the creation of a customizable avatar, complete with a unique name and color scheme.
Clinique Lab features several interactive areas, including Museum, Source, Connect, Shop, Formula, Radiance, and Origin. Each area offers customers an opportunity to delve into the brand's story, learn about the formulas behind its products, and engage with beauty consultants.

The Museum area unveils the inspiration behind Clinique's name, while the Museum of Firsts highlights the brand's position as the first dermatologist-developed cosmetics line. Visitors can learn about Clinique's pioneering innovations, such as its introduction of 100% fragrance-free skincare products.
In the Formula section, customers can explore the science behind Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Hydrator, one of the company's best-selling moisturizers. The Source area educates visitors about key components in Clinique's products, including aloe, vitamin C, and salicylic acid.
Clinique Lab also features a Shop section, where customers can virtually explore and test products before adding them to their shopping carts. The experience encourages users to find and collect specific digital items, unlocking special offers on product purchases.
This metaverse foray is not Clinique's first venture into the virtual world. In 2022, the company partnered with Daz 3D to launch its inaugural beauty NFT campaign. The collaboration featured collectible digital makeup looks, allowing consumers to style their avatars with exclusive virtual cosmetics.
