Minted Loot Studios, the developer of upcoming action RPG ChronoForge, has announced the Totem NFT mint, coming to Abstract Chain on February 24th and bringing players opportunities to earn exclusive rewards.
What Is the ChronoForge Totem NFT?
The Totem NFT is a loot box and competition pass through which players can gain a variety of prizes by burning the asset. Burning these NFTs to your game account can lead to claiming NFT bundles that include exclusive mounts and gear. You also potentially get to unlock exclusive new races with unique buffs, alongside the game’s currency that you need to unlock various classes, traits, and perks.
Next to serving as loot boxes that when burned can provide you access to limited edition NFT drops, these NFTs also give you a competition pass, serving as your entry to the seasonal leaderboard through which you can win the game’s upcoming $CHRONO token. If you want $CHRONO multipliers with up to 200% ladder rewards, then getting and burning this upcoming new NFT is the way to go. The multipliers apply only for the season you burn the asset in, and only for the in-game competition.
Those who only want to compete for $CHRONO leaderboard rewards will actually be able to get the competition pass in a basic non-NFT form, so if you don’t want the exclusive prizes, you won’t need to mint the new NFT. There will be a cheaper battle pass option instead. Adventurer NFT holders won’t need the new NFT to earn $CHRONO gameplay rewards.
Every 3-4 months, you can look forward to seeing a limited supply of new Totems go on sale each season.

How Does the Totem NFT Mint on Abstract Chain Work?
This Totem NFT mint on Abstract Chain gives the community an opportunity to acquire the first season of limited edition assets referred to as Founder’s Season Totem rewards on February 24th at 5 PM EST.
For this mint, the supply will be 5000 Totems divided into 3 "functional” rarities: Rare, Epic, and Legendary, with each set to have their own exotic cosmetic variations. This means there are a limited number of ultra rare variants next to the standard rarities called Exotics, which seem to be purely designed to be cosmetically distinct from the standard assets. Rarity is randomized upon minting.
The Rare Totems include exclusive playable race Koala, NFT cosmetic Umu Rustler, and NFT pet Baby Umu. This rarity also gives you +40% $CHRONO rewards from the Heroism competition, alongside 2500 Forge Stamps. With Forge Stamps, you will be able to unlock new adventurer traits, some cosmetics and potentially other utilities. Forge Stamps can also unlock 6 of the playable classes in case you don’t already own them as an NFT.
The Epic Totem includes all Rare rewards, an exclusive playable race called Saurian and an exclusive mount NFT that is actually capable of combat: the Giant Battle Crab. You also get +80% $CHRONO rewards from the same competition, as well as 10,000 Forge Stamps.
As for the Legendary Totem, that one gets you all the Rare goodies, plus Imperial Rex, a combat capable exclusive mount NFT, alongside +200% $CHRONO rewards for the Heroism competition and 20,000 Forge Stamps.
Anyone interested in minting a Founder’s Season totem will need to have an unspecified amount of ETH on Abstract, as the mint price has not yet been revealed. There will be 2 phases for this mint: a Whitelist Phase and a Public Phase.
The whitelist phase will last 4 hours and seems to kick off at the previously mentioned time: February 24th at 5 PM EST, but it's best to be ready earlier in case you qualify. This is an overallocated phase run on a FCFS basis. Adventurer, Airship, and Land NFT holders are whitelisted, though the Discord announcement mentions that the ChronoForge team is aiming mostly at “new community members” for this phase.
Once the 4-hour Whitelist Phase is over, the Public Phase begins, giving everyone an opportunity to snag any leftover Totems on a FCFS basis during a 2-hour window.
The mint takes place on a dedicated page on the game’s official website, which you can also find in the official documentation page for this NFT. Instructions on how to mint can also be found there.
Last month, ChronoForge migrated to the Abstract Chain. This month, the ChronoForge developer was approved as an official Nintendo Switch publisher.
