Champions Arena, a turn-based RPG on Gala Games, is rolling out new updates to Nexus, its in-game platform for renting NFT Champions. Before this, players could only rent a Champion every 8 hours for a single use. Starting today, gamers are able to rent one NFT Champion per day, and the rental duration has been extended to one hour. This change allows free players to earn more while engaging in PvP content.

Nexus 2.0 introduces a system to recommend Champions for rent, ensuring players have the best options when entering the arena. Rented Champions' levels will automatically match the player's highest-level Champion, allowing for a more competitive scene. For those looking to expand their Champion rentals, rental tickets can be purchased with paid gems.

Arena upgrades are also part of the update, introducing a daily reset at UTC 00:00 for battle limits based on NFT count and rarity. Furthermore, the arena's scoring formula has been adjusted to consider the gap between competing teams.

The removal of anti-macro pop-ups is a notable QoL improvement that streamlines the gaming experience. Players can now earn more Victory Points (VPs) by engaging in battles with rented Champions and have the chance to win free daily gems by winning in arena battles. VPs are in-game tokens that are converted into $GALA at 3 AM UTC each day.

Champions Arena continues to offer a rich fantasy world where players can collect over 100 unique Champions and in-game assets. Since NFTs are not required to access the game, each player is given a set of free non-NFT Champions to kickstart their journey. These updates to Nexus and the arena are set to enhance the game's appeal and earning potential.
