Zillion Whales is back with a new Beginner Cup, the 3rd tournament in the Summer Clash series for Wild Forest players to play to earn in.

What Is the Summer Clash Beginner Cup Tournament?

The Beginner Cup is a new tournament within Summer Clash, a series of competitions that kicked off in June 2025 with various rewards for a limited number of registered players to compete for every month, including $WF tokens.

The series is back yet again this month with its 3rd event so far, and is once again geared towards newer players.

For this August’s Beginner Cup, the tournament format is a double elimination bracket, where 64 players play in 1v1 Best of 3 battles for both Winner and Loser brackets, while the Grand Finals are played in a Best of 5. There are deck restrictions, and they include using Common units of up to level 10 maximum. No Elixirs are allowed, and the Pyromancer unit is actually banned, so if you use that unit during this tournament, you will be disqualified.

If you win this Beginner Cup, you will be rewarded with 35,000 $WF tokens and 1 Premium Pack, while second best secures 20,000 $WF tokens and 2 Standard Packs, and the 3rd best player of this event gains 15,000 $WF tokens and 3 Basic Plus Packs. The total prize pool value is 92,000 $WF tokens, which Community Gaming displays as being worth $995.1 USD, but that is based on the token’s market price on August 4 and thus may not reflect the real token value by the time rewards are distributed. This reward pool is split to the top 8 players in the following way:

  • 1st Place - 35,000 $WF + Premium Pack
  • 2nd Place - 20,000 $WF + 2 Standard Packs
  • 3rd Place - 15,000 $WF + 3 Basic Plus Packs
  • 4th Place - 10,000 $WF + 3 Basic Plus Packs
  • 5 - 8th Place - 3,000 $WF + 1 Basic Plus Pack each

If you don’t make it in the top 8, you will then be drawn into a raffle for a random chance of winning 25 Basic Packs.

How to Participate in the Summer Clash Beginner Cup

You can participate in this tournament by signing up through its dedicated page on Community Gaming, linked in the X announcement below. Simply click on the “Join Tournament” button and complete the registration form to be potentially placed into the event. If there are already 64 participants, you can still sign up for the waitlist in order to be potentially given the chance to play in case someone is unable to participate. If you don’t have a Community Gaming account, you can easily create one using your email address or a social sign in option such as Google, Discord, Facebook, and X.

The Beginner Cup begins on August 9 at 1 PM UTC, and all participants must be present at that time and ready to communicate through the Matchroom section of the Community Gaming bracket page. This first day will have 64 players battle it out in strategic 1v1 RTS gameplay until there are only 8 players left. This means that Day 1 will include 4 Rounds in the Winner Bracket and 6 Rounds in the Loser Bracket.

The top 8 players will then play on August 10, starting from 1 PM UTC. Day 2 is the final day of the tournament, and as such will be played until there is a cup winner. For this part of the event, all matches will be livestreamed and announced in advance, so even if you can’t play, it might be well worth tuning in to watch others battle it out and see if there are any skills and strategies that you might be able to learn from these intense competitive matches.

Full details can be found on the official tournament page linked below, and any unanswered questions can be asked in the game’s official Discord server. Good luck to everyone!

What Is Wild Forest?

Wild Forest is a free to play real-time strategy game featuring fast-paced PvP battles and an open player-driven economy powered by the Ronin network. Players form a deck of 7 different Units and engage in strategic single-screen RTS matches across diverse maps divided into multiple territories. Capture territories to place different structures in designated areas in order to deploy Units, generate Mana, and set up tower defenses. Units cost varying amounts of Mana and come in different tiers, with higher tier Units requiring you to upgrade your barracks during a match in order to deploy them.

When it comes to web3 features, players can play to earn $WF tokens through seasonal leaderboards, as well as mint in-game Units into NFTs to trade them with other players on the Ronin Market. Players can level up in-game Units using in-game currencies to improve their stats, as well as upgrade them further by increase their rank using $WF tokens. To mint an in-game Unit into an NFT, you need a certain amount of $WF tokens. You can also get NFT Units by buying on-chain Packs, which may also include other rewards such as $WF tokens, in-game currencies, and Skin NFTs to customize your Units with. Players can also become holders of Lords NFTs to unlock various gameplay benefits, features, discounts, reward boosts (such as special quest access in Bounty Boards), priority allocations, and more, with additional utility getting added over time.

Wild Forest is available for download on PC, Android and iOS through the Mavis Hub, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store. It is a completely free to play title that does not require connecting a crypto wallet to enjoy the core gameplay experience. In June 2025, Wild Forest shared new plans for this summer and beyond.
