Developer Zillion Whales has published a recap of their AMA session from earlier this month, and anyone who missed the Twitter/X livestream can easily get up to speed on all the latest progress the team has made on Wild Forest, while getting a glimpse of what’s to come this month, this summer, and beyond.
What New Features Have Been Added to Wild Forest?
Last month, the Wild Forest team added in a number of new features, reworking existing systems for a better blockchain gaming experience. Specifically, in May, the studio upgraded the Bounty Board, revamped Trophy Road, gave exclusive discounts on Battle Pass purchases for Lord NFT stakers, and ran the very first community tournament.
The Bounty Board, which was introduced in March 2025, has been improved with new quest types that include Lord, Elixir and Expedition Quests. These are new Advanced Tasks that challenge players to win matches using certain Elixirs while sending high-rarity Units on various Expeditions. Lord Quests are also special Advanced Tasks, but they're available to Lord stakers only, providing more challenging tasks while offering a higher quantity of rewards for successful completion. It looks like more news on the Bounty Board is said to be coming soon, with plans to add one-time onboarding quests to help newcomers jump in faster and spend more time playing the Ronin-powered title.
Trophy Road has been reworked to lower grinding and enhance rewards, with the team planning to improve the system further by adding higher-tier rewards, better chest odds in higher leagues, a smoother first-time user experience, and gradual power scaling as players progress.
Thanks to community feedback, Lord NFT holders now have exclusive discounts on Battle Passes, with the perk said to be “just one of many” the team has in store. The team also reported that the Perk Reroll has been a success, as in just the first month of the feature’s launch, more than 2.6 million tokens were actually spent on rerolls, “making this one of the most-used features in the game.”
The team successfully ran the first creator-led tournament wave, with the community event delivering positive results that included 3500+ new installs in one week, valuable feedback on gameplay balance and the onboarding experience, and even a high level of engagement amongst both current and new players.
“May wasn’t flashy, but it was productive. We’re laying the foundation for the next phase of Wild Forest with you. Every reroll, every match, every feedback thread helps shape what comes next.”

What Features Are Coming to Wild Forest This Summer?
This summer, players can look forward to consistent content updates, an enhanced user experience, more Lord benefits, and more tournaments to drive community growth. Basically, in the short term, the team would like to deliver new units, maps, and perks while improving rewards, UX, and the onboarding experience, all while providing more Lord benefits and facilitating community growth by running more tournaments. The exact Lord benefits were not specified.
For this month, the developers have launched a new Unit called the Drumkeeper on June 9, which Lords can mint using fragments. On June 23, the plan is to add the Tier III melee support Unit to the Battle Pass. At some point later in this same month, we should see the Drumkeeper get added to the Trophy Road and Castles as well. Other additions you could see go live by the end of this month include a balance patch, Lord rank-up discounts, a community tournament series, and Wild Shards in the shop. Wild Shards will be available exclusively for Lord stakers only.
Future Plans
While all of the above are the near-term priorities, the team also has a number of strategic features and activities they would like to introduce later on. This might mean they’ll arrive later in the summer, or at some point beyond. Specifically, you can look forward to the PvE mode, bigger rewards, details on Lands, expanded tournament and community events, a Unit burn competition, as well as user acquisition campaigns. According to the official blog post, the team is actually holding off on introducing these features and activities “until the market improves,” in an effort to ensure that when they do launch, they bring “maximum impact.”
Wild Forest is available as a free to play title on Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively. The web3 RTS can also be played on PC through the Mavis Hub.
