Heroes of Mavia developer Skrice Studios has announced the introduction of the Mavia DAO for community-led governance of their Web3 hit.

What Is the Mavia DAO?

The Mavia DAO is described as being a decentralized governance structure that uses a proposal mechanism to vote on how the Mavia Foundation’s Ecosystem Fund is to be distributed in an effort to create a “diverse and self-reliant ecosystem.” This is where holders of the $MAVIA token can make their voices heard in an environment whose core values are said to be transparency, unity, innovation, distinctiveness, agility, and impactfulness.

Anyone who has at least 1 $MAVIA token can become a member of this DAO. By being a member, you will be able to participate in the DAO through proposal discussions, voting, and proposal submission.

Proposal Process

Referred to as MIPs (Mavia Improvement Proposal), members will be able to use the game’s official Discord server to discuss and submit proposals, while Snapshot is the platform used for voting. According to the announcement, votes are visible to the public, with 1 $MAVIA token being equal to 1 vote. There are no gas fees to pay when voting,

Creating a proposal is done through 6 stages: ideation, discussion, review, voting, finalization, and implementation.

Categories

Proposals are divided into 4 categories: gameplay improvements, Ecosystem Fund allocation, brand decision, and process changes. The first one consists of proposals related to introducing new features, adjusting existing ones, and more, while the second category deals with strategies on using the Ecosystem Fund. Proposals in the brand decision category will be about various projects, initiatives, or partnerships related to the Mavia IP or DAO, while the 4th category deals with proposals about “modifying a procedure or executing a change in implementation.”
