Pentagon Games has officially announced the start of Phase 1 of the early access version of Gunnies. It’s now live from January 6th to some point in February - here’s everything you need to know about this blockchain game and what you can do to join in on this action-packed title.
What Is Gunnies?
Gunnies is a chaotic third-person shooter showdown of weapon-wielding and zombie-like bunnies. The web3 title revolves around fast-paced PvP team-based deathmatches across dynamic maps, with each map said to consist of special traps to avoid, but also random events to face that can really shake things up and possibly help your team win the match. You can expect shenanigans such as hidden pits and exploding carrots to come out of nowhere and wreak havoc.
Hazards, unpredictable events, and opposing players blasting fire at you aren’t the only things you have to worry about though. In every map, you will also be confronted by waves of “Zombunnies” to make each battle even more difficult to win. Adding this on top of all the other craziness makes every match packed with explosive action to constantly deliver a chaotic blockchain gaming experience.
Keeping the zaniness going are the selection of unique and comical weapons that each come with their own funny effects as you effectively use them to destroy the opposing team. Some weapons are more suited for those looking to maneuver the battlefield in a stealthy way, while others are all about marching about guns blazing. Find the arsenal that suits your playstyle the most and work with your team to tactically use different weapons that together can make for an unstoppable force.
Following internal team testing on December 19th, the developers have decided to introduce “Private-Alpha Public Testing” for eligible players. Here’s how you can join in on this phase to play in select timeframes.

How to Join Gunnies Early Access Phase 1
If you want to play this early version of the game and help the developers create a polished experience, you will need to hold at least 1000 $PEN tokens. This will make you eligible for both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
With enough tokens in your wallet, download the game’s launcher from the official website and login using your Pentagon Games account. This means that you will have to connect your wallet holding $PEN tokens to your account in order to be successfully verified and granted early access.
The developers are exclusively awarding early access accounts with coins and carrots, both of which are in-game currencies that you can use to buy lootboxes containing special in-game rewards such as weapon skins, character skins and more cosmetic-based items that allow you to further customize your experience to your liking.
While all items and progress from this testing period will be wiped out, you can expect to get an in-game reward at the end of this 3-phase early access for participating.
For Phase 1, you can play during 1-hour testing sessions that take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 PM UTC. You can expect new features to roll out in each phase, with the time of each session in this first one planned to be increased over time.
When Does Gunnies Early Access Phase 2 and Phase 3 Launch?
While the first phase is set to end at some point in February, you can look forward to Phase 2 beginning in March and ending in May, while the third and final phase kicks off in June 2025. The second phase will be a private beta testing phase, while the 3rd one will be a public beta, releasing on Steam and bringing Gunnies to a wider gaming audience to hop in for free.
