The battle for glory has begun in Forgotten Runiverse. As of August 25, the blockchain MMORPG has kicked off a competitive new Guild Event called "Glory and Renown," where top-performing guilds will compete for a share of 2.5 million $PIXEL. The event will run until September 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET, giving players just under two weeks to climb the leaderboards.
This new event arrives shortly after the game's recent major update, "The Sunflower Farm," which added new PvE content, spells, gear, and balance changes. With fresh systems now in place, the spotlight is now on PvP, as guilds across the Runiverse begin fighting for their place at the top.
How the Glory and Renown Event Works
In this new event format, guilds must first earn Renown through standard gameplay. These Renown points can then be risked in PvP battles against other guilds. Winning these fights will take Renown away from the losing team and convert it into Glory. Only Glory counts toward leaderboard placement.
To give every team an equal chance, the in-game leaderboard has been wiped clean for the event's start. Now, all guilds begin from scratch.
The top 8 guilds ranked by Glory at the end of the event will split the 2.5 million $PIXEL prize pool. This puts high stakes on every decision, especially in PvP, where losses can directly impact your standing.
Ways to Earn Renown
Renown is earned by playing through the game's existing content. This includes leveling up your character, crafting top-tier gear, defeating dungeons, gathering Quanta, and winning PvP matches. These actions build your guild's total Renown.
Here's a quick look at some of the key ways to grow Renown:
- Reaching level milestones rewards your guild with Renown. The higher your level, the more Renown you generate.
- Clearing Omen dungeons also provides Renown based on their difficulty level.
- Crafting Tier 4 items gives more Renown per craft.
- Gathering Quanta in billion-level milestones increases your Renown score.
- Defeating teams in PvP gives bonus Renown, especially when fighting in larger groups.
While earning Renown is important, it is only half of the process. Guilds must risk it in PvP to gain Glory.
How to Gain Glory
Glory is earned only through guild vs guild PvP. Each time your guild defeats another guild's team, you take a portion of their Renown and convert it into your own Glory. But if your enemy guild has no Renown to lose, you gain nothing.
This system means strategy is key. Picking your targets, timing your attacks, and avoiding wasteful fights will be crucial. You'll need to choose opponents wisely, aiming for teams that have high Renown themselves. Otherwise, the risk may not be worth the reward.
There are also several ways to increase your gains during the event:
- Fight in larger battles. Bigger matchups like 4v4 fights offer more rewards than 1v1 skirmishes.
- Make sure your PvP team is made up only of members from the same guild. Mixed-guild parties won't count toward leaderboard stats.
- Leveling up your guild overall will also improve your event gains.
- Apply stacking boosts to enhance your Renown and Glory earnings.
- Do not battle members of your own guild, as these fights are not counted.
This loop of earning Renown and converting it into Glory creates a risk-reward PvP structure that rewards bold plays and smart strategy.
Event Details
The Glory and Renown event began on August 25 and will run until September 8. Players can access it through the main game and dive in freely, though only the top 8 guilds will receive token rewards.
The total prize pool is 2.5 million $PIXEL, which will be split among the top 8 teams based on their final Glory rankings. $PIXEL is the token used within the broader Pixels ecosystem. While Forgotten Runiverse is a separate MMORPG, it has teamed up with Pixels for cross-title collaborations and special events. Earlier events like the Grand Summoning also featured $PIXEL rewards for players, but this is the first guild-only leaderboard event offering such a huge reward.
The leaderboard is now live in-game and updates as players compete. With the reset now in effect, the competition has started fresh, with every guild beginning on equal footing.

The Sunflower Farm Update Set the Stage
Earlier this month, Forgotten Runiverse released a major new update called "The Sunflower Farm." This update added new content for both new and veteran players, and helped lay the groundwork for this new guild PvP system.
The Sunflower Farm introduced the game's hardest dungeon yet, featuring tough encounters, unique mechanics, and new rare rewards. Alongside it came four new spells: Congeal, Corrupting Pox, Defiling Rune, and Vigilant Decoy, each bringing new experimental status effects that are now being tested in both PvE and PvP.
The level cap was also raised from 25 to 30, with existing quests and enemies adjusted to make the leveling process smoother. Two new gear sets were added as well: the Alchemist Set, which supports speed-based builds, and the Ceratopsian Set, which supports a mix of damage and tank builds. These sets are hidden across new areas, including a mysterious cave featuring a new "Delve" activity.
This update also introduced the Renown and Glory system that now powers the current Guild Event. At the time, players were informed that the system would be used for a future competitive event with real token rewards, which has now gone live.
What's Next for Forgotten Runiverse?
Aside from the Glory and Renown system, the team plans to roll out another major update. This next patch will focus on improving the early game experience from levels 1 to 15.
Changes will include better quest design, stronger narrative hooks, and a smoother onboarding process for new players. These updates aim to make the game more accessible, especially for those entering the world of onchain gaming for the first time.
While this future update is still apparently in the works, the focus right now is on the Guild Event. With 2.5 million $PIXEL up for grabs, guilds are expected to play hard, plan carefully, and compete across the Runiverse until the final day.
You can join the competition now by forming or joining a guild at game.runiverse.world, where the event is now live.
