After more than 2 months since the end of Closed Beta 2, the developers of Party Icons have officially kicked off the 3rd beta testing phase, which comes with the launch of the web3 game’s first seasonal play to earn economy. Let’s find out all the newly added features and see what it takes to play and earn a variety of crypto rewards, including a token airdrop.
What Is Party Icons?
Party Icons is a third-person web3 game that delivers a diverse range of game modes and combines it all with real rewards for a varied and rewarding blockchain gaming experience. Running on the Ronin network and backed by BITKRAFT Ventures, this colorful digital theme park lets players battle it out in extraction royale gameplay while competing in fun mini-games and relaxing on the Miragio Island, the central hub that is home to upgrading characters while utilizing the in-game trading center for buying and selling unminted game assets.
The game is available for download for free on Windows PCs and mobile devices, including Android via an APK file, and iOS through TestFlight. PC gamers can download the game separately or get it through web3 native game store HyperPlay, with links for all platforms available on the game’s website.
What’s New in Closed Beta 3?
The Closed Beta 3 (CB3) test marks the introduction of the X League, a reward-packed seasonal event that lets players compete for token rewards and airdrops through gameplay. Participation requires owning the X-PASS or signing a Marauder contract, with both granting you access to the game’s first limited time season, which runs for 14 days.

Throughout this competitive event, there are 2 game modes you can play and earn in: Party Heist and Carnival Clash. Both come with entry fees.
Party Heist is an extraction battle royale game mode in which teams of 4 players work together to find valuable resources and lootboxes containing Gummies. The more Gummies you get, the more Season Points you receive to rank for rewards. Finding these goodies is not enough, as players need to survive and reach the extraction point in time to successfully claim collected rewards. While attempting to extract, players will fight each in third-person shooter gameplay while also dealing with various enemy NPCs as well, with PvE difficulty and loot value potentially varying from one battle to the next. For this test phase, only Party Heist SOLO is included in the X Pass, which means that players solo queue for an 8-player match. While Party Heist TRIO is included in the game, it’s not part of the seasonal event itself. Your loadout needs to be worth at least 50k Gold Coins to play the solo edition.
Carnival Clash is a party royale mode featuring dozens of chaotic mini-games to casually have fun in while attempting to earn more Gummies, Season Points, Gold Coins, and Mirble. Each match has 8 players compete for the top 4 spots, with the amount of rewards awarded varying based on the tier you play in. This mode can be played across Basic, Advanced, and Elite tiers, with the first two tiers having an entry fee in Gold Coins, while the highest tier is gated behind a 50k Mirble requirement. Both Gold Coins and Mirble are earnable in-game currencies, with the former spent on equipment repairs and lower-tier resources, while the latter is used for upgrades and core asset trading.
Next to the big event, this latest closed beta release also introduces new weapons, the R&D Hub, a new hero called KOOLI, and more, with all the info available in the latest patch notes.
What Is the Prize Pool for CB3?
In terms of the total prize pool, the beta began with a $20k USD starting cash pool, a 3 million $PARTY token airdrop pool, and creator and bounty pools consisting of 100k $MNT and 15k $RON tokens. At the time of writing, the cash pool has already grown to $100k+ USD. It may continue to grow throughout the test phase as the pool is funded by 75% of all X-PASS and X-PASS (Mask) sales, 100% from Ticket sales, and 75% from Season Stake subscriptions. The initial $20k was put in place by the game’s team, meaning that more than $80k has been funded by players themselves. The more players join in to play and earn, the bigger the reward pool could end up being.
Closed Beta 3 kicked off on July 15 and will end on August 5, but the X League event started on July 20 and concludes on August 3. Here is how you can jump in and play to earn from this season’s prize pools!
How to Play and Earn in Party Icons Closed Beta 3’s X League
There are multiple ways to start participating in the X League during Party Icons’s Closed Beta 3 test, all of which allow you to play and earn:
- Buy an X-PASS for $20 to own 100% of your earnings
- Sign a Marauder contract for free in-game to be sponsored by a Mask and share rewards
If you want to passively earn rewards instead of playing yourself, you can do the following:
- Become a Mask by holding 2 Stakes ($40) and by purchasing a maximum of 40 X-PASS (Mask) to give out up to 40 scholarship contracts
- Become a Stakeholder and buy Stakes to earn yield: 25% Entry Tax (sales of X-Pass, X-PASS (Mask) and Season Stakes), and 15% Earnings Tax (deducted from player match rewards)
All of this can be found for purchase from the season’s dedicated page, but you will need to download and log in to Party Icons first to gain access to buying these assets with your crypto wallet.
Once you buy the X-PASS or get sponsored for one, you are eligible to properly participate in the X League event and play to earn from the main growing prize pool of $100k+ USD. To earn a share of this reward pool, you will want to collect as many Gummies as you can, with Season Points potentially acting as multipliers depending on your rank in the Season Points leaderboard. You can earn both by playing Party Heist SOLO and Carnival Clash matches.
While only Party Heist SOLO requires using Tickets to play each day, those who want to earn rewards from Carnival Clash will need to spend Tickets as well. Every X-PASS gives you 10 free Tickets per day, 3 of which are for Party Heist SOLO matches, while 7 Tickets are for the Carnival Clash. Each mode consumes 1 Ticket per match, and you can buy more Tickets for $0.20 if you want to continue playing in the same day.
Gummies are awarded regardless of whether you win or lose a match, but if you want to maximize your potential share of the main prize pool, then you’ll want to lock in and win as many matches as you can for more rewards. By simply playing the game, you could win not just from the cash pool, but also an airdrop from the 3 million $PARTY token pool based on your seasonal leaderboard points, with 2 million tokens allocated to solo players, while the rest are distributed to guild members. You might be able to earn more by ranking in the top 50 on the referral leaderboard, and you could be lucky enough to win $MNT tokens by simply logging in and checking in and every day.
