Sky Mavis has announced that Lumiterra, an open-world survival crafting MMORPG, is moving to the Ronin network. This decision was made by Ticker Logic Studio, a Hong Kong-based developer, to move from Arbitrum to Ronin. The goal is to enhance its gameplay experience by harnessing Ronin's blockchain capabilities.
Lumiterra: Embers of the Legacy offers a rich and immersive experience, focusing on survival, crafting, and exploration. The game's economy revolves around farming, crafting, and real-time combat. Players gain experience to level up their skills and can engage in both main storyline quests and side quests. What's more, they can form alliances to defend their homelands from invasions by other players. The closed beta for Lumiterra on Ronin is set to launch in July.
Sky Mavis CEO Trung Nguyen commented on the migration: "Lumiterra's migration to Ronin is more than just adding a new game; it's about welcoming legions of Web3 gamers from China and Hong Kong into Ronin’s digital nation. Lumiterra offers rich gameplay experiences, from survival and crafting to exploration and DeFi engagement. With a strong, organically-grown community and proven success in the DeFi space, Lumiterra is set to thrive on Ronin."
Lark, Co-Founder and CEO of Lumiterra, expressed excitement about the move: "Our goal is to captivate players through high-quality games, allowing the in-game goods economy to function naturally and fostering a healthy economic circulation system that supports the game's ongoing expansion and depth. We are excited to bring Lumiterra to the Ronin ecosystem, uniting DeFi, GameFi, and players in a seamless experience. Ronin's proven track record, scalability, and active community make it the ideal platform for us."
As of June 10th, Ronin has over 1.44 million daily active addresses and ranks as the second most used blockchain. Ronin continues to lead gaming chains with a 27.35% daily active addresses market share. Built by Sky Mavis, Ronin is known for its scalability and low transaction fees. This makes it a popular choice for Web3 games like Axie Infinity, which has brought in over $1.3 billion in revenue.
The alliance between Lumiterra and Ronin is set to usher in a new era of Web3 gaming, featuring rich gameplay with a robust network.
