GAMEE, an Animoca Brands subsidiary, has announced that they are giving away 7500 $MATIC across sponsored, Token Takeover tournaments on the Arc8 mobile gaming platform.
The event started yesterday, June 30 and ends on July 4 at 1 PM UTC. To take part in these tournaments for a chance of earning the native token of the Polygon network, players have to pay an entry fee in $GMEE, the core cryptocurrency that powers the Arc8 platform.
This isn’t the first time that the platform is offering a token that isn’t their own as a reward. They have partnered up with The Sandbox, Lympo and Polygon to offer these partner tokens as part of Arc8 Season 3. The first two, $SAND and $SPORT, have already been given away, leaving $MATIC as the last token for this season. In the previous season, GAMEE formed partnerships with Manchester City, Atari, QuickSwap, REVV Motorsport and Crazy Kings to offer $QUICK, $REVV and $TOWER as rewards in select tournaments.
Arc8 is a blockchain gaming platform for mobile devices. Available on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store, the platform features a variety of casual play-to-earn games, where skill is rewarded with the $GMEE native token by successfully winning against other players. Back in April this year, GAMEE partnered with Manchester City to bring various sports play-to-earn games to the mobile gaming platform. The first football-themed game they’ve launched is called Manchester City Striker, a 3D game in which players must beat the goalkeeper by scoring in various parts of the net from a variety of different angles.
