Following initial reveals that Farcana is rebranding along with the launch of new roadmaps, it’s now officially confirmed that the new rebranded name is FAR Labs, and this change looks set to significantly expand the utility to the web3 gaming project’s $FAR token.
What's Changing With Farcana's Rebrand to FAR Labs?
What began as a single ambitious third-person shooter is now transforming into a full-scale web3 ecosystem called FAR Labs.
Farcana was once defined as a competitive AI-powered shooter, but FAR Labs aims to become the infrastructure linking gaming, AI, DePIN, and DeSci through one unified token economy. In short, the Farcana universe is expanding beyond the borders of its original game world, entering a new phase where the $FAR becomes the connective tissue for a broader on-chain network.
The motivation behind this move does also seem to come from the harsh realities of the current gaming market. Web3 gaming and the traditional gaming industry as a whole has faced heavy challenges, and many projects have failed to survive the downturn, including games such as Ember Sword, Tokyo Beast (just 2 months after launch, and Pirate Nation, among many others. Instead of folding, the project’s creators chose to expand, AI, decentralized physical infrastructure, and decentralized science. By aligning with the fastest growing areas in tech, the team aims to ensure long-term sustainability and real value creation for the $FAR token.
What changes with FAR Labs is the scope, brand, and roadmap. While the new name represents a broader vision, the core of the project does seem to still remains intact. The same team that built through the bear market continues to lead development, and the original game remains the foundation of everything that follows. The wider goal now is to expand upon that by creating a network where all products, partnerships, and technologies operate under one ecosystem, feeding value back to the $FAR community.
How Is $FAR Utility Expanding With the Rebrand?
For token holders, this transition brings with it a new utility structure where every new product or AI model within the ecosystem generates revenue that circulates back through staking and revenue distribution, making $FAR “the backbone of a real revenue-sharing economy.”
Behind the scenes, developer Dizzaract Games has been developing AI systems since 2022. Their research led to a new framework called the FAR Network, an AI inference layer which connects blockchain technology with decentralized AI computation. This means that AI inference, the process where models process data and make decisions, can run across the FAR ecosystem rather than being confined to centralized servers.
In practice, this makes the AI in their in-development flagship game smarter and more dynamic, but it also opens the door for AI-driven products beyond gaming. The $FAR token will tie all of these elements together, allowing holders to stake, share in revenue generated by AI and hardware products, and benefit from the broader ecosystem’s growth.
Over the past 3 years, Dizzaract has filed between 12 and 15 patents across AI hardware and software in both the US and UAE. These include designs for intelligent input devices, adaptive sound systems, and biometric hardware that connects human behavior with game mechanics, as revealed in an official X article.
What Happens to the Farcana Game?
Farcana, the flagship hero shooter developed by Dizzaract Games, remains at the heart of this growing ecosystem, as the Abu Dhabi-based studio continues to build the game with a focus on player-owned economies and AI-driven systems.
The dedicated game roadmap released last month confirms that the game’s development is moving forward at full speed. The studio migrated the project to Unreal Engine 5.6 in Q3 this year, while introducing a visual rework to align all assets into a unified artistic style that blends sci-fi with steampunk/dieselpunk influences.
The next major phase, planned for Q4 2025, focuses on updated gameplay and an evolving art direction. The new Team Deathmatch map will serve as the foundation for upcoming PvP modes, while gameplay refinements will target improved responsiveness, better visual clarity, and smoother character control.
For 2026, there are plans to add in a modular ability system and expanded progression features such as daily and weekly missions, challenges, and unlockable rewards. A new Capture the Point mode is also in the works, built on top of the Team Deathmatch map.
By mid-2026, players can expect ranked matchmaking with MMR-based systems, a post-match summary feature, and a seasonal battle pass. The addition of Mutators could make matches more dynamic, as there will be random modifiers to bring further variety to gameplay.
In the latter half of 2026, Farcana plans to launch in open beta on the Epic Games Store, introducing new game modes like King of the Hill, as well as a full customization system for player skins. A tutorial and several backend improvements are also planned, preparing for a full soft launch of the game by the end of that year. This early access version will include 3 game modes, multiple maps, and a wide cast of playable characters. The developers also plan to roll out the AI Analyst, which is a system that observes matches to offer advice on how players can improve their strategies.

What Is the Farcana Game?
Farcana is a team-based third-person PvP hero shooter that blends competitive gameplay with AI and blockchain integration. Developed by Dizzaract Games, the studio’s vision is to deliver a next-generation shooter where players can own assets, train AI companions, and compete in high-stakes tournaments for on-chain rewards.
The futuristic game features 24 original heroes, each with distinct abilities and playstyles. Players look set to engage in 5v5 matches across a number of different maps and game modes.
This sci-fi title will also feature the integration of AI companions. These digital assistants learn from a player’s behavior and adapt in real time. Over time, they could evolve into digital twins that are capable of mirroring player movements and competing in AI vs. AI leagues when the player is offline. This system keeps gameplay alive even when players are not logged in, offering new forms of engagement and competition.
