Farcana, previously known as a blockchain-powered sci-fi PvP game, is rebranding to expand beyond gaming, resulting in the reveal of a new roadmap for their upcoming ecosystem.

Why Is Farcana Rebranding?

The official announcement states that Farcana’s journey to creating a competitive on-chain multiplayer game that offers the benefits of digital ownership and is capable enough to compete as a global esports game taught the team “something bigger.” Throughout development, they believe they saw a “clear truth”: that the future of this industry “will not be carried by gaming alone.”

“The rebrand is about scale. It ensures $FAR holders benefit from every new product, every new partner, every new launch. We’re still here. We’re still building. And the expansion is designed to reward the ones who believed first.”

This means that this is no longer purely a blockchain gaming-focused project, but an entire web3 ecosystem that consists of gaming, but also AI, DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network), and DeSCI (Decentralized Science). As a holder of the project’s core $FAR token, you will get to enjoy revenue sharing benefits across these fields, early positioning in partnerships with “global leaders,” and access to “multiple growth sectors” through just one token.

While their original vision, to make a popular PvP game, is still said to be “alive,” this grand expansion has resulted in the creation of a new ecosystem roadmap. Let’s see what’s in store.

What’s Included in the New Ecosystem Roadmap?

The new ecosystem roadmap, published this month on October 2, reveals a number of different milestones for the rest of the year.

Before diving into new milestones, the roadmap seems to also recap Q3 2025 progress, which involved the rebrand, the reveal of this new ecosystem identity, the launch of a new website and dashboard, the start of token marketing activities such as awareness campaigns, AMAs, and KOLs; strategic buybacks and a major partnership announcement, which does not seem to have been revealed yet at the time of writing.

For Q4 2025, the team is set to migrate $FAR, previously brought to the BNB Chain, over to a new unrevealed chain, with token swaps planned to open and function throughout a “structured transition window.” This also means that liquidity will be moved to the new blockchain, after which staking pools should activate to further incentivize holding.

Once the now ecosystem token is properly migrated and set up on the new chain, holders can then look forward to the ecosystem’s first MVP product launch. This first product is set to unlock the ecosystem’s initial revenue stream, and though not explicitly stated for this year, should also mean more rewards for holders to benefit from, expanding token utility. Speaking of things holders can benefit from, there is also a milestone for buybacks, so holders should be able to look forward to seeing the team continue to buy tokens in an effort to support “market stability and token growth.”

Last but not least, there are of course more plans for “major” partnerships, with the collabs being done in hopes of further expanding the ecosystem’s reach and visibility. More specific details on all these new milestones, such as what chain the token is migrating to, or what the new product is actually all about, have not been uncovered at the time of writing. It’s not known when each of these will exactly happen during Q4 either.

If you were hoping to see some milestones related to the team’s flagship game, well, good news, because there is actually an entire dedicated roadmap for the web3 title itself. Let’s dive into that one as well.

New Dedicated Roadmap for Farcana Game

The Game Producer of Dizzaract Games, the Abu Dhabi-based studio developing Farcana, has shared a new dedicated roadmap for the PvP title a week before the ecosystem roadmap dropped.

If you’re not familiar, Farcana is an in-development third-person ability shooter that is set to feature competitive, team-based 5v5 gameplay across various game modes while giving players the option to play and own tradable assets. The developers secured $10 million for the web3 esports shooter back in 2023, and are planning to launch it as a free to play sci-fi title.

This game-specific list of milestones features plans starting from Q3 2025 and going all the way to Q4 2026.

The focus on Q3 2025 was on visual and technical updates, which involved migration to Unreal Engine 5.6 for long-term scalability, a rework of social systems UI/UX, and the alignment of character, environment, and UI art to create a unified signature visual style. In Q4 2025, the plan is to deliver updated gameplay and revamped art style that is evolving to feature steam/diesel-punk elements. In terms of gameplay, the team is working on creating a Team Deathmatch map that is set to serve as the foundation for PvP modes, while also refining core mechanics to improve shooting responsiveness, VFX clarity, and character control.

For the first quarter of 2026, the plan is to introduce a modular ability system alongside various player progression features. The modular ability system seems to be based around acquiring skills through roguelike progression during a match, while new player progression features are set to include daily and weekly missions, challenges, and unlockable rewards. Also coming in Q1 is the Capture the Point game mode that will be based on the TDM map, plus an alpha version of an AI Companion system is planned to be introduced as well.

With Q2 of next year, the focus is on replayability and the game’s competitive layer, so you can look forward to MMR-based matchmaking across all game modes, alongside the addition of a post-match summary screen, an alpha version of seasonal Battle Pass progression, and the introduction of the Mutator System, which will bring dynamic random modifiers to add further depth to each action-packed match.

In Q3 2026, the plan is to launch an open beta version of the game on the Epic Games Store, while adding in a new King of the Hill game mode and a customization layer to let players personalize each character with varied skins. A game tutorial will also be implemented to improve the onboarding experience, alongside a variety of backend improvements related to security and matchmaking.

For the final months of 2026, the plan is to soft launch Farcana’s flagship title on Epic’s store, with this early access version planned to feature 3 game modes, a couple of maps designed for dynamic gameplay, as well as a varied cast of playable characters that each have their own cosmetic skins. Abilities, mutators, and roguelike progression are also said to be finalized with this release, and to help players improve their in-game skills, it looks like this early launch will also feature an AI Analyst, with the first version of this system studying your match performance to give you advice on how to enhance your strategies.

Farcana Game Roadmap

If you’re interested in playing this game, then it looks like you might have to wait for the open beta that is scheduled for Q3 2026. To play earlier, you may want to keep an eye out on the game’s social media channels, as opportunities to playtest the game in alpha could possibly arise in the near future.
