Web3 mini-gaming ecosystem Kokomo Games is giving out the last opportunity to apply for the Incentivized Beta, during which selected participants can play and earn while testing out their platform and casual games.

What Is Kokomo Games?

Kokomo Games is a game development studio and blockchain gaming ecosystem focused on delivering casual social mini-games that also feature competitive gameplay to facilitate “skill-to-win", play to earn gameplay. The company entered web3 gaming with an oversubscribed angel round last year that included participants such as Steve Aoki, Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park; backers from The Sandbox, SoftBank, Kraken, and more.

The ecosystem currently consists of 2 Avalanche-powered mobile games on Telegram and 1 NFT collection, with their own ecosystem token, $KOKO, coming at some point in Q3 2025, which is also when the web platform is slated to go live.

Ecosystem Games

The 2 mobile games in question are Koko Snake and One Million and One Kokos (1M1).

Koko Snake is a free to play game based on classic snake gameplay. Eat as many eggs as you can to grow your snake as you avoid hitting any walls in order to get the highest score that you can to top the leaderboard. If you hit the wall or collide with yourself once, it’s game over. While it was previously possible to play to earn through tournaments, there are now no earning features integrated at the time of writing, but they will likely be reintroduced later once the platform exits closed beta.

One Million and One Kokos is a real-time PvP tapping game in which players compete in global matches containing enormous maps of empty spaces that you fill out with coconuts referred to as Kokos in order to earn points. Earn as many points as you can while sabotaging other players to deduct points from them by removing their Kokos. This tapping game launched in Season 0 last year with the chance to win a free OG NFT mint spot by doing social tasks, while the core gameplay loop allowed players to earn points that could unlock future ecosystem benefits. You can play 1M1 for free right now in Season 1 and win a free welcome NFT that may unlock future rewards.

Kokomon NFT

The Kokomons NFT Collection

The ecosystem’s core NFT collection is The Kokomons. This cute set of 1001 Kokomons was minted on Avalanche via Magic Eden to provide holders with passive rewards across the Kokomo Games ecosystem while unlocking lower fees and gaining access to governance, staking and VIP benefits such as exclusive game modes and special in-game boosts. The floor price is 0.6 $AVAX at the time of writing, and owning one should give you guaranteed access to the $KOKO pre-sale alongside 12 consecutive monthly $KOKO airdrops, with the airdrops taking place after TGE, according to a Medium announcement from the end of May this year.

How to Apply for the Kokomo Games Incentivized Beta

To apply, head on over to Kokomo Games’ official application form linked in the below X post and answer some simple questions to successfully apply for a chance at receiving a limited spot for the Incentivized Beta.

This Google form asks for your email address, which of their 4 games are you most interested in testing, and why do you want to test their games. It also requires you to follow their X profile and Telegram announcements, as well as join their official Discord server if you haven’t already, with the links to all 3 socials included in the application form. A deadline to apply was not given, so make sure to do it as soon as possible. If you’re selected, you will receive an email containing more info on how to participate. You will be given a pre-funded account with real money to spend on the platform and its games, so you might have a chance to earn rewards for free should you end up being invited.

Kokomo Games Platform Sneak Peek

In the form is also a sneak peek of the beta test, the image of which I’ve attached above. This sneak peek gives us an early glimpse at what the main platform page looks like on mobile devices. You can see your balance, profile level, daily claim streak, a Play section containing a list of playable games and earning-related features; the ability to add games to favorites, and a little chat bubble you can open to converse with other players. From this main screen referred to as “Random Play” we can also see that we’ll be able to switch over to sections dedicated to tasks, the store, a bank, and eventually a pets area.

Based on the application form, testers will have the chance to try out Snake, Arrow Racer, Chess, and Blackjack. Early this year, you were actually able to play and earn in Koko Snake on Avalanche as a Telegram game. It featured daily play to earn tournaments in which you’d enjoy classic snake gameplay and attempt to accumulate points that could be redeemed for $AVAX tokens. As of writing, this game does still seem to be live and playable, so I’m not sure how different the Snake game in the upcoming beta is going to be, but those who are selected will be able to find out. What is clear however is that the version currently live no longer features play and earn tournaments. No info on the other 3 mini-games are available at the time of writing, though the only one that isn’t completely clear from the name alone is Arrow Racer; is it a Flappy Birds clone, or something else? We’ll find out soon!

Next to applying for the beta test, there is also a bonus giveaway on the same post below, which you have to retweet and comment on while tagging 3 friends for a chance at winning $100.
