About The Voice virtual experience in Decentraland

The Voice, an American reality singing competition TV series, is entering the metaverse. The popular NBC show has launched an activation at the 2022 Decentraland Music Festival, where visitors can experience the iconic blind audition through a Voice-themed game.

To those who may not know, the 2022 Decentraland Music Festival is a highly-anticipated annual music event running from November 10th to 13th in Decentraland. Visitors can dive into multiple experiences and enjoy musical gigs from over 150 global artists featuring names such as Björk, Ozzy Osbourne, Soulja Boy, and more.

As for The Voice metaverse experience, it is essentially a Voice-themed game where fans will stand in front of Metaverse Coaches and collect "notes" to the beat of a song. If you're good at it, you might even get a chair turn and win an exclusive Voice collectible. If you get all 4 chairs turned, you will receive a special t-shirt NFT wearable.

Besides, attendees can stop by the Voice set and snag selfies with current coaches Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Camila Cabello, John Legend, and the legendary spinning red chair. Anyone can hop into this one-of-a-kind activation at [-67, 86] in Decentraland.

"The Voice has always pushed boundaries starting with the first-of-its-kind Blind Auditions that empowered people to feel valued for who they are, not what they look like. Creating our first Metaverse experience with Decentraland is the logical next iteration of that global fan journey," said Justin Hochberg, CEO of Virtual Brand Group Inc.

But that's not all. The award-winning TV show is also teaming up with metaverse builder Virtual Brand Group to create its own virtual realm. According to a press release, The Voice metaverse will feature persistent worlds and events where users can challenge each other in creative musical plays, participate in global metaverse competitions, and enjoy benefits from Web3 loyalty programs.
