GensoKishi Online, a fantasy metaverse on the Polygon network, has launched into closed beta today.
In order to play the closed beta, players must own a closed alpha / beta testing NFT ticket. If you already used a ticket to play the closed alpha version of the game, you shouldn’t have any problems in using it again for this beta test that can be played by logging in on the game’s website. As of writing only the browser, WebGL version is available, while an Android version is planned for release in early August.
A couple of changes have been made since the closed alpha test. Previously, in-game events were hosted by the team, but now instead of the developers hosting it, it will be various affiliated guilds as well as the community that does it. These events will feature special prizes in the form of NFTs. The monster designs and the UI have been updated, while the level cap has increased from level 10 to 20, and the amount of maps available to explore has been upped to 15.
Players are now able to change jobs, as well as use a newly-added equipment reinforcement/repair function. This release also marks the opening of the Elrond Shopping Mall and the Art Museum. The amount of stores available in the former will increase over time.
Aside from the planned Android version in early August, during this beta the team also plans to implement an NFT import function, which they anticipate to be ready sometime in mid-August.
There is currently no info on when this closed beta will end, with the end date set to be adjusted based on when the function for importing NFTs gets released.
This blockchain title is based on a game called Elemental Knights, a PS4, Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch MMORPG which won the "Gold Award of Game of the Year" in Taiwan in 2012 and surpassed more than 8 million downloads.
