AI-focused web3 gaming studio Lightning Forge Games (LFG) has officially partnered with Avalanche to lead the platform’s AI gaming ecosystem by bringing their own AI tech and upcoming games to the popular network.
What Does Lightning Forge Games Bring to Avalanche?
This partnership means that the company’s upcoming 3 AI games, which include Gladiator Mayhem, YOLO, and Grand Tactics Final Order, will all launch on Avalanche, which is home to popular names such as Off The Grid and Solo Leveling.
To help propel the network’s AI gaming ecosystem to a higher level, this game developer will be bringing over its own core AI technology: Satrn.ai. The team has been developing it for a couple of years, and will now look to bring it over to Avax in order to power other games in the ecosystem that would like to integrate AI features. In return, Avalanche’s support is said to allow LFG to reach “new heights that were previously out of reach,” according to the company’s official announcement thread. According to an AMA, the team will build on Avax C-chain initially, with Ava Labs providing support.
Lightning Forge Games is said to consist of experienced developers and web3 leaders passionate about creating accessible and innovative gaming experiences powered web3 and AI. The team’s members are said to have previously worked at studios such as Netflix Games, Ubisoft, Snapchat, Star Wars: Rogue One, and more.
Let’s learn more about their upcoming games, one of which is set to launch soon.
What Is Gladiator Mayhem?
Gladiator Mayhem is LFG’s debut game in which players will be able to enjoy AI-powered 2v2 auto-battler gameplay while training AI heroes who can learn from their previous battles “through deep reinforcement learning”. As such, this free to play title will allow you to enjoy AFK-and-Earn mechanics and passively earn $LFG tokens by participating in tournaments that the AI plays for you. Players can look forward to a seamless onboarding experience with cross-platform support, making it simple and easy for anyone to jump into this strategic title without needing to know anything about web3 technologies.
Assuming the official Medium post from November 2024 is still relevant, you can expect Gladiator Mayhem to launch on Telegram without needing to make additional downloads, making it accessible to a wide audience to easily jump in and play to earn $LFG. Thanks to cross-game integration, it looks like your progress and rewards will actually carry over to upcoming games made by LFG, further rewarding your playtime in their first title.

What Is YOLO?
YOLO is a PvE dungeon crawler in which you team up not only with friends but also with AI agent-powered heroes to fight your way through challenging dungeons for real-world prizes. Some of these dungeons will feature dangerous bosses and have permadeath activated, so you’ll want to make it out alive if you want to reap the rewards of your exciting run and not lose your playable NFT in the process. Dying in a dungeon with permadeath activated will burn your NFT and mint a tiny gravestone in its stead, no matter the rarity or the price you paid to purchase that hero. Sounds like this will be quite a high-stakes action RPG. However, these dungeons are set to have huge rewards that players will be able to verify on-chain, with the studio’s CEO mentioning $1 million in a February 5th AMA.
This is the second game that the developers will focus on releasing at some point after Gladiator Mayhem goes live.
What Is Grand Tactics Final Order?
Grand Tactics Final Order (GTFO) is a free to play autobattler in which you take on huge battles and train AI while taking part in tournaments to earn $LFG tokens. $LFG will be the core currency powering this game’s ecosystem, and you might need it to train AI, enter tournaments, and buy and sell various NFTs.
This is set to be the studio’s flagship AI web3 game, and you can look forward to seeing it go live in Q4 2025. It sounds a lot like Gladiator Mayhem, so I’m not sure what the exact differences between the two are. However, we’ll probably find out soon enough, as according to the roadmap on the studio’s official website, the whitepaper for GTFO is planned to be published next. Afterwards, a cinematic trailer for GTFO is set to arrive, followed by the company’s seed round, Forge Key mint, TGE for $LFG, a play to airdrop campaign, and more. No exact timeframes have been given for all of these milestones.
