The company behind the Ethereum-based NFT scaling carbon-neutral Layer 2 platform Immutable X has announced the launch of their very own in-house game studio, Immutable Games Studio.

“The refreshed look represents where we are going, as we continue on our mission to advance the next generation of web3 games.”

Aside from planning to launch new branding later this week, Immutable also teased that “something exciting is coming very soon.” Could it be a new blockchain game from the newly-established studio? Whatever the case, it’ll be interesting to see what they have in store for crypto gaming sooner or later.

That’s not the only big news related to Immutable. This month saw them set up a huge partnership with Mastercard, with the payment processor set to integrate its payment network onto the NFT marketplace, allowing the purchase of NFTs using their cards. The payment network will also be added in to The Sandbox, MoonPay, Candy Digital, Mintable, Spring and Nifty Gateway. Last month, Immutable also partnered up with browser gaming giant Kongregate to create a $40 million fund to support developers making blockchain games.

Some of the games part of the gas-free ecosystem include free-to-play card game Gods Unchained, open-world RPG and autobbatler Illuvium, mobile action fantasy RPG Guild of Guardians and more.
