Moonlabs Studios has announced update 2.1 for Devikins, a turn-based JRPG, in which they plan on introducing the game’s first World Boss.

Update 2.1 Details

In this upcoming update, scheduled to launch sometime in the coming weeks, the developers are adding in World Serpent alongside a new way to login. An exact date for this update will soon be given, according to the announcement.

World Serpent

World Serpent is the game’s first ever World Boss. This future cooperative PvE event will have players make their way through 5 increasingly-challenging levels, with those progressing further reaping more rewards. Below is a glimpse of the beast you will be facing in the new version of this blockchain title.

New Login Method

Next to adding intense gameplay, the new update also brings with it a new login method. Specifically, once this version goes live, players will be able to login using the Google Play and iOS Game Center account system, meaning new players won’t need to set up a Moonlabs account, but can simply use their existing Google or Apple account instead, simplifying entrance to this 2D title. This paves the way for a broader audience to easily jump into the game, with some limitations. By logging in this way, players “do not have immediate access” to crypto-related things such as withdrawing NFTs and DVK, making the new method geared towards traditional Web2 gamers.

The team teases that after this update, more World Bosses lay in store in the future, as well 3 more features that include Factions, Guild Wars, and AI vs AI betting matches.
