Prehistoric action RPG Cradles is getting a new update at some point this month: Infinite World.
What Is the Infinite World Update?
Infinite World is an upcoming new version of the Web3 title that is set to mark “a pivotal transformation in the essence of Cradles’ operation.” This means that the studio is moving away from being a traditional game development company and turning itself into an organization lead by a DAO, making this not only a significant structural change but also a new beginning that gives players much more influence of the game than ever before.
New Features
That being said, a new utility mechanism for their native token, $CRDS, will be included in the upcoming update. This mechanism is said to create a “bidirectional channel between CRDS and ORE,” giving the native token a “more fluid entry” into the ecosystem for various important item exchanges. A new ORE STORE will also go live to allow players to upgrade levels and equipment more easily through the new CRDS-ORE channel, with the developers also looking to maintain in-game sources of ORE while adding new monsters to provide a difficult but more balanced gameplay experience.
Infinite Land
Infinite Land is a new mechanic that will let players own Infinite Land and allow them to use the Infinite World Editor (IWE). This editor will allow players to create AI-driven worlds using more than 200 unique, AI-generated structures that can be placed anywhere in order to create diverse towns. Facilitating this creative side are monthly town competitions where winners who design the best towns could earn significant amounts of CRDS tokens.
Balancing Changes & Token Burn Mechanism
Thanks to community feedback, various changes to PvP gameplay are being made to provide a fairer experience. The developers will address overpowered bows and make plenty of adjustments that will be shared in more detail in upcoming patch notes.
A token burn mechanism will be implemented that will cause 0.5% of the team’s revenue shares to be burned at certain player milestones, lowering the token’s total supply.
