STEPN

STEPN is a Web3 move-to-earn (M2E) lifestyle app that rewards users for physical activity such as walking, jogging, and running outdoors. It combines fitness, NFTs, and blockchain by tracking movement through GPS and rewarding users with in-app crypto tokens. STEPN was developed by Find Satoshi Lab (FSL) and finished among the top projects at the Solana Ignition Hackathon in 2021.

The STEPN app itself is free to download on iOS and Android, but it is not free to earn with. To start earning tokens, users must own at least one NFT sneaker, which is purchased from the in-app marketplace. Without a sneaker NFT, movement is not rewarded.

In STEPN, users earn by equipping an NFT sneaker and then walking, jogging, or running outdoors with GPS enabled. Movement consumes Energy, and rewards are paid in in-app tokens for each minute of activity while Energy lasts.
