Tired of play to earn? Try yap to earn instead. If you've ever wished your crypto hot takes could earn you more than just likes, both Arbitrum and Kaito now have an answer. Through a 3-month-long campaign, community members can yap their way into crypto rewards, with 400,000 ARB up for grabs. The Arbitrum Yapper Challenge is now live, and it's looking to reward the most influential voices in the Arbitrum space.
Arbitrum and Kaito have teamed up to launch a community-driven rewards program. From May through August 2025, 400,000 ARB tokens (worth around $156K) will be given away to top contributors. To take part, users simply need to post insightful content about Arbitrum on X and connect their account to Kaito's Yaps platform. The more relevant, engaging, and frequent your content is, the higher you'll rank on the leaderboard.
The campaign has 3 themed months:
Each month's top 50 contributors will receive a share of the reward pool. Content shared before themes are announced will still count, so don't wait to start posting.
Start by signing in to Kaito Yaps with your X account. Once connected, every post you share that's relevant to Arbitrum can earn points based on three things: how often you post (volume), how engaging it is (likes, replies, retweets), and how insightful your content is (semantics).
This is not about spamming hashtags though. Kaito's AI will evaluate the depth and relevance of every post. Each month, ARB will be distributed as follows:
The campaign recognizes creators from all corners of the world. That's why there's a dedicated pool for regional and non-English content. If your content ranks, even if it's not in English, you're eligible for rewards. But accounts officially affiliated with Arbitrum won't be eligible for bounties.
If "Yap to Earn" sounds new, here's what you need to know. Kaito is the platform behind this content model. Founded in 2022 by Yu Hu, a former Citadel investor, Kaito has raised $10.8 million to tackle a long-standing problem in web3: fragmented information.
To explain, Kaito.ai is an AI-powered crypto search engine. Think of it as Google for web3, but built with smarter, crypto-specific tools. It indexes over 10,000 sources including forums, research papers, social media, and podcasts. With features like sentiment tracking, smart alerts, and transcript search, it helps users make informed decisions faster.
But Kaito isn't just about searching; it's about value distribution. That's where Yap to Earn comes in.
Kaito Yaps is a content rewards system where users earn points for insightful posts on crypto. Points are based on post frequency, engagement quality, and the content's depth. Kaito's AI checks every post, filtering spam and recognizing content in multiple languages.
By turning attention into rewards, Yaps acts as a proof-of-attention mechanism. It's part of Kaito's broader InfoFi roadmap, an ecosystem where valuable info becomes an asset. Through tools like Yapper Leaderboards and the Yapper Launchpad, users can earn rewards, build influence, and support early-stage projects.
Kaito Connect, another layer of the platform, ensures that all contributions are transparent and on-chain. It's a new approach to creator rewards in crypto, with a built-in public leaderboard that allows brands to discover top contributors and reward them.
For more serious users, Kaito Pro offers a paid subscription tool that provides institutional-grade insights. It's used by notable teams like Berachain and Polygon, with features like meta search, dashboards, and catalyst calendars to track major protocol events.
Yapping might sound casual, but the rewards are serious. With 400,000 ARB up for grabs, Arbitrum is giving its community a real reason to speak up. And with Kaito's AI ensuring fairness and visibility, the Yap to Earn model could potentially become a new standard for how crypto communities engage, inform, and get rewarded.
