Tendermint-based Layer 1 network XPLA has formed a strategic partnership with the Korea Mobile Game Association (KMGA) and NFT and RWA-focused web3 tech company PUNKVISM to launch a Web3 Game Incubation Program in order to help bring blockchain gaming projects to the first ISAE 3000-certified mainnet.
XPLA’s Web3 Game Incubation Program is a developer-friendly initiative that is designed to support and onboard promising web3 gaming projects to their chain in an effort to create a sustainable blockchain gaming ecosystem.
Specifically, through the program, the three partnered sides will work together to find and incubate web3 gaming projects with significant potential, while providing game developers with end-to-end support that ranges from early stage development to go-to market strategy, helping teams to successful bring their games to life every step of the way. In doing so, studios will also be given a smooth onboarding experience to the XPLA mainnet, as well as post-launch growth strategies personalized for each project to help them have success over the long-term.
The Team Lead at XPLA, Paul Kim, said the following in the official Medium announcement:
“The growth potential of the Web3 game market is undeniable, but the entry barriers remain high. Through this partnership, XPLA will help developers create in a stable environment and connect with a global ecosystem.”
Overall, through this program, the entry barriers for web3 game developers to enter the blockchain gaming industry looks set to be lowered by not only providing access to blockchain infrastructure and networks, but also by giving the tools needed to reach gamers worldwide while offering consulting, investment, and publishing support. Here is how each partnered side benefits this new program and in turn the projects that get chosen.
Each partner brings their own unique expertise to the table to help benefit the Web3 Game Incubation Program and bring growth to XPLA’s gaming ecosystem.
XPLA will particularly focus on offering technical support and strategic guidance, helping out with on-going performance optimization while ensuring developers can seamlessly integrate with the L1 mainnet. KMGA will look to bring consulting, networking, and educational support as a trusted representative body in Korea’s mobile gaming industry. PUNKVISM will lend its knowledge and experience in NFTs and RWA to identify high-potential projects and then help them become a success in the world of web3 gaming.
“This collaboration represents only the beginning of a long-term commitment to fostering innovation in Web3 gaming. More projects, more partners, and more opportunities are on the horizon.”
According to the official Medium announcement, this strategic collaboration is said to expand upon the existing Web3 Game Acceleration Consortium that was set up by KMGA and PUNKVISM earlier this year. This means that XPLA has now joined in as a “key incubation partner,” bringing their own set of support to the mix that is said to include infrastructure, technical integration, and “global launch readiness.”
Details on when the Web3 Game Incubation Program will exactly launch do not seem to be available at the time of writing. No official link to an application process was provided, though it’s currently unclear if there will exactly be one or if the collaborators will reach out to existing projects on their own. Either way, if you’re a blockchain game developer interested in joining this program, then be sure to keep building while checking out XPLA’s socials for more info on when this program officially opens if you're interested in becoming a part of this ecosystem that has onboarded games such as The Walking Dead: All-Stars, Summoners War: Chronicles, Heirs of Light: Eclipse, and more.
