World of Dypians Review: An Immersive and Expansive Metaverse Built on Multiple Blockchains and Enhanced Rewards

World of Dypians (WOD) is an expansive and player-driven game built as a virtual world. It’s a world where players can explore the lands, fight, and carve their path on a 2000 square kilometer metaverse. 

Offering immersive in-game experiences, players can go on hunts, earn rewards, and build their empires driven by Sandbox gameplay mechanics. The game has single and multiplayer modes, and it’s available on Epic Games, but it's still in the Early Access phase, which means changes will be done down the line. 

WOD Gameplay Mechanics and its Multiplayer Experience

WOD is available on multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, BNB, Conflux, and the Base Network. This gives players the freedom to choose their preferred blockchain to start playing and interacting with the game elements. 

Users can take the role of a Warrior or a Mage and play in one of the three modes. These are Campaign Mode, Open World Mode, and Multiplayer Mode. The game represents an endless world filled with multiple quests where each player can build their unique experience through an armada of tools, weapons, and armor to continue on their journey ahead. 

Multiple events and quests are ongoing simultaneously, and it depends on the players to choose the ones and explore the world. Where they can explore, there are creative tools for players to design their own gameplay experience by creating gears, tools, weapons, and skins. 

The game’s multiplayer experience is only available in a closed demo, and it's designed for testing purposes only. However, the testing phase provides access to the basic version, leaving immense potential for future development. Since it’s a multiplayer experience, communicating among layers is possible through voice chat and text. 

NFT Integration and WOD Economy

WOD is an NFT-driven economy focused on land NFTs, which players can own, sell, and trade. Moreover, these NFTs are customizable, and all updates are transferred to the blockchain, making them immutable records. Not only can players own land, they can build structures on it and earn additional rewards. 

The WOD Land Genesis edition with 1000 NFTs is currently available on the OpenSea marketplace. The land NFTs in this collection have dimensions 125m by 125m. Each NFT in the collection represents a piece of virtual land. While building structures on the land is possible, users can also add personal attributes to their land. Land ownership also provides access to exclusive land NFT staking, where players receive a 25% APR in the form of ETH, which is now expired. 

In the beta phase, only one type of Lanf NFT is available. But four more types will be introduced in the WOD metaverse in the future. 

$WOD Token

$WOD is a utility-driven token issued to the WOD community on the BNB chain. This token also integrates with the DeFi network, NFTs, gaming, and the game’s AI elements, offering multiple usage scenarios. 

It’s an in-game currency used to buy virtual goods and execute updates. Players are rewarded with $WOD tokens for their engagement and achievements. 

The stake rewards are awarded in the $WOD tokens. It’s the primary token used to buy, sell, and trade NFTs on the marketplace. 

Ownership of the token allows participation in governance decisions. 

In addition to Genesis Land NFTs, WOD also offers Cats and Watches Society (CAWS) NFTs. Ownership of these NFTS also provides access to new events and better in-game interactions. Where players can enjoy VIP access and be in line for exciting rewards, the NFTs also let them perform new actions. 10,000 CAWS NFTs are minted and available on the WOD marketplace. 

On-Chain Events and Conquests within WOD

At the time of writing, over 5 events are live in WOD, and the game is still in its beta phase. One of the events, Treasure Hunt offers a reward of $20,000 in MANTA and 90 days (starting from 20th August) of exciting adventure where players get into daily quests and intense competition for discovering hidden chests to earn rewards. 

Similarly, there’s TAIKO Treasure Hunt, which has a runtime of 90 days starting from 19th August to earn $20,000 in TAIKO. Other events include Dragon Ruins, Golden Pass, Puzzle Madness, and Critical Hit. Each event offers a unique gameplay experience and a reward to the players. 

How to Start Playing WOD?

World of Dypians is available on Epic Games, where at present, there’s a waitlist to join the closed-beta phase. To start playing, it's mandatory to either own a Genesis Land NFT or a Beta Pass NFT. Other ways include becoming a premium member or holding CAWS NFTs. However, with the early phase completed, there will be additional updates and changes to the game, including the full release of multiplayer PvP and PvE modes.
