Soneium Score has launched Season 4, introducing new partner integrations, refreshed scoring opportunities, and updated system features across Sony’s Layer 2 network. Building on the progress of the first 3 seasons, the program continues to reward users for meaningful on-chain participation through a reputation model that tracks activity in DeFi, gaming, and NFTs.

Season 3 recorded more than 66 million transactions and over 81k participants, while thousands of SBT badges were minted and permanently tied to user wallets. Season 4 extends this model with new projects, an expanded NFT scoring category, and refined interface improvements designed to make participation easier. As with previous cycles, Season 4 runs for 28 days and resets at the end of the period.

Below is a full look at the Soneium Score system, what has changed this season, and how users can earn the Season 4 badge.

What Is the Soneium Score?

The Soneium Score is a seasonal, reputation-based system that measures a user’s contribution to the Soneium ecosystem. Instead of one-time airdrops or fixed reward campaigns, the program evaluates consistent activity across a range of on-chain actions and assigns points across multiple categories. Each 28-day season gives participants a chance to increase their score and earn a unique soulbound badge if they reach at least 80 points.

The Soneium Score is calculated using 4 components: Activity Score, Liquidity Score, NFT Score, and Bonus Score.

Activity Score measures transaction frequency, the number of active days, and streaks. Any transaction such as a swap or NFT action counts equally toward this category.

Liquidity Score evaluates the average TVL contributed by the user across participating protocols. Supported platforms include Aave, Kyo Finance, Morpho, Quickswap, Sake Finance, SoneFi, SoneX, Sonus, Stargate, Synstation, Uniswap, Untitled Bank, Velodrome, and WaveX. Liquidity can be added using a variety of supported assets, including Ethereum-based assets, Bitcoin-based assets, stablecoins, and other designated tokens.

NFT Score is divided into 2 categories called Sony NFT Score and Ecosystem NFT Score. Eligible collections change each season, with scoring weights visible through the official portal.

Bonus Score grants extra points for engaging with highlighted partner projects during the season. These may include gameplay actions, platform interactions, or activity-based objectives depending on the partner.

All 4 categories combine into a final Soneium Score. The system resets every season, although very active users may retain partial progression based on prorated scoring at the start of each cycle. Participants who reach 80 points or more qualify to mint that season’s badge. These badges are soulbound, non-transferable, and permanently tied to the user’s address.

What’s New in Soneium Score Season 4?

Season 4 introduces a new set of partners across DeFi, gaming, and decentralized apps. As with previous cycles, these partners form the core of the Bonus Score component and create additional ways to earn points.

New featured partners for Season 4 include:

  • Kyo Finance, which offers on-chain liquidity tools such as the Pool Wizard. Season 4 tasks include completing at least 20 swaps using Kyo Finance pools.
  • RubyScore, a decentralized reputation and identity protocol that aggregates on-chain activity into a unified profile. Season 4 users can earn points by casting 20 on-chain votes.
  • Arkada, a community engagement platform that supports campaign-driven growth for web3 projects through gamified quests. Season 4 objectives include completing 10 Arkada quests.
  • Blockchain Messages, a cross-chain communication and gaming platform. This season requires users to participate in at least 5 Blockchain Messages games to earn Bonus Score.

Though not initially listed in the announcement as a featured bonus project, Echoes of Cryptalia, a multimode strategy RPG built around tactical battles and roguelike play, has announced its entry into this season. Users can bolster their score further by completing daily battles in the Trials of Ku game mode and by becoming holders of in-game rewards. Risk-based game Intraverse has also joined in, and so has Animix Snap with new NFTs. Zombie Idle Defense, previously featured in Season 3, has made a return. More projects for boosting NFT Score can be found in a new official list of NFT-eligible projects.

The list of partners may expand further, as seasonal cycles are designed to incorporate new projects when needed.

Season 4 also updates the NFT scoring system. While the 2-category structure continues with Sony NFT Score and Ecosystem NFT Score, there are now 23 ecosystem NFT collections that are eligible for points this season, including 14 newly-added collections that broaden accessibility for users seeking to reach the 80-point threshold.

Significant system improvements also accompany Season 4. The scoring flow for Activity, Liquidity, and NFT components has been streamlined, making it easier for users to track where points come from. The dashboard now includes real-time streak tracking and clearer visual indicators for progression. The badge minting workflow has also been refined. Minting now unfolds in 2 stages. Stage 1 grants early access to top-scoring participants, while stage 2 opens minting for the general eligible cohort. This provides a smoother user experience and helps manage traffic during the minting period.

Season 4 continues to emphasize consistent engagement and clear progression. The program’s structure remains inclusive for new users entering the ecosystem while continuing to reward long-term contributors. Here’s how to join in.

How to Participate in Soneium Score Season 4

Participation in Season 4 is open to all users and requires only a connected wallet. The process begins at the official portal, where users can log in and track their progress in real time.

To earn points, users must engage with any of the 4 scoring categories. The most direct way to gain early points is through Activity Score. This can be built by performing transactions daily to maintain an active streak. A single action per day is sufficient to count as an active day, making streak management one of the easiest ways to accumulate points within the system.

Liquidity Score requires contributing to TVL across eligible protocols, with users able to add value through major DeFi platforms such as Aave, Stargate, Uniswap, Velodrome, and others listed in the official FAQ. Because Liquidity Score is based on average liquidity maintained during the season, users benefit most by contributing early and keeping liquidity deposited throughout the full 28-day period.

NFT Score can be earned by holding approved Sony NFTs or eligible ecosystem NFTs. Since scoring weights vary per collection, users can verify the exact value of any chosen NFT through the portal before making a purchase. This avoids uncertainty and helps participants plan their path toward 80 points.

Bonus Score is earned through the new Season 4 featured partners. Completing at least 20 swaps on Kyo Finance, casting 20 votes on RubyScore, finishing 10 Arkada quests, playing at least 5 games through Blockchain Messages, competing in daily battles in Echoes of Cryptalia’s Trials of Ku and owning NFTs from various eligible web3 games will all contribute to additional score. The exact values are not publicly disclosed to maintain fairness and balance, but each partner provides clear and trackable actions that count toward the category.

Once a participant reaches 80 points, they become eligible to mint the Season 4 soulbound badge. This badge is a permanent, non-transferable proof of contribution within the Soneium ecosystem and is tied directly to the user’s wallet. Minting follows the 2-stage system, with early access for top scorers and general access for all other eligible users. Unrevealed rewards potentially await those collecting these seasonal SBT badges.
