After starting off Season 5: Great Battlefields, Ronin-based F2P card RTS Wild Forest has now been updated to version 0.0.6, introducing various league-based balancing changes that improve matchmaking in order to provide a fairer competitive experience.
The latest update introduces maximum unit card levels for every league. This limits the unit level based on the league you’re in, so if you’re in the first league, then the highest unit level is capped to 5. This means that if you have a unit of a higher level, that unit’s stats will be lowered to level 5 in the first league until you progress to a higher league that allows players to have unit cards of higher levels, ensuring matches are more balanced than ever before.
Another significant change is that for each new league you progress to, building stats increase by 30%, making each building stronger and more difficult to destroy.
Next to these changes, various bug fixes and technical improvements are also said to have been made, with the developers now making it possible for players to see timings and amount of mana being produced above each Mine. Maps have also been improved to make them more balanced. Specifically, building points on the 4 new maps have been adjusted, while the player’s side on the Square map has been redesigned by removing trees that made it more difficult to see properly while clearing pathways to points.
