Wemade has officially announced crucial P2E structural details for G-WEMIX ahead of the global launch of Norse-themed MMORPG Legend of YMIR.

What Is G-WEMIX?

G-WEMIX is a core tokenomics item in Legend of YMIR that players will be able to earn through gameplay and exchange for the $WEMIX token as well as reuse in-game to upgrade their items, strengthen their character build, and more.

Previously teased in June 2025 through the game’s global teaser page, the developers updated the website earlier this month with more details on this important in-game currency, and followed up this week with even more info on the item’s core structure, showing how players will actually be able to play and earn $WEMIX by earning this game’s currency.

How to Earn G-WEMIX

According to the latest info, players will be able to play to earn G-WEMIX by hunting a variety of monsters in inter-server content. This means that players from different servers will compete in monster hunts through features that include Contested Areas (inter-server fields with competition elements), the time-limited dungeon Hall of Gold, as well as Expeditions, including both boss and raid dungeons for which party members are needed to properly enter and strategically take on. These represent the main ways through which you will be able to play to earn G-WEMIX, and thus in turn gain access to earning $WEMIX tokens.

Through these systems, players engage in cross-server competition content, and if your server has the best results by the end of the Server Battle, your server is crowned as the victor, adding an additional supply of G-WEMIX to the server’s treasury, giving you more opportunities to earn more token rewards.

Every server has a set allocation of this currency, and the better your server is at winning in cross-server content, the more rewards your server has. This encourages players to continuously progress and upgrade their character to be constantly ready to take on these competitive challenges together and potentially reap the spoils of collaborative action.

Once you earn this currency, it’s up to you to decide whether you would like to reinvest it back into your character to make yourself stronger, or choose to exchange it to the on-chain $WEMIX token. As such, you will have to balance reinvestment with profits to ensure you’re getting more powerful while still earning in the process.

What Is the Exchange Ratio for G-WEMIX to $WEMIX?

Once you earn G-WEMIX, you can exchange it to $WEMIX at a fixed 1:1 ratio. The South Korean gaming publisher and developer states that this structural setup “ensures stable value” and that the market price of G-WEMIX only differs “by the fee amount in the process of monetizing with WEMIX Coin,” according to the official FAQ on the game’s teaser website. They also mention that “unlike existing game tokens, it has less price volatility and is more stable.” Players will be able to exchange their earnings to $WEMIX at any time, but it’s also mentioned that the G-WEMIX is issued “within the limits of the WEMIX Reserve.”

To facilitate this play to earn system, back the stable supply of this core in-game token and support a worldwide release of Legend of YMIR, the Wemix Foundation is setting up a WEMIX Reserve of around $7.5 million USD (₩10.2 Billion KRW). This should give plenty of room for players to enjoy the game and earn token rewards for their grind as the team uses the reserve to ensure a successful launch while building “a robust tokenomics ecosystem.”
